Bobcats' Morrison likely out for the season with torn ACL

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Charlotte Bobcats forward Adam Morrison will likely be out for the season after at least partially tearing the ACL in his left knee.
Morrison, who will likely undergo season-ending surgery, suffered the injury during Saturday's preseason contest against the Los Angeles Lakers. X-rays were taken following the game and came back negative, but an MRI Sunday morning revealed the ACL tear.
Charlotte selected Morrison with the third overall pick of the 2006 draft and the former Gonzaga star averaged 11.7 points during his rookie campaign last season.
