Cornell Big Red vs. No. 23 Harvard Crimson

Cornell is 7-11 SU (5-5 ATS) overall this season and still looking for its first victory on the road against nine previous defeats. The total has stayed 'under' in seven of 10 games overall and in five of seven on the road.

Harvard continues to hold a spot in the national rankings with nine wins in their last 10 games SU but is just 4-6 ATS. Overall, the Crimson are 18-2 SU and 9-6 ATS. They are a perfect 6-0 SU (1-3 ATS) at home this season and the total has stayed 'under' in 11 of their 14 games overall.

NCAAB Preview

Penn Quakers beat Princeton Tuesday, a rare Ivy mid-week game; they are 3-0 in Ivy, winning by 2-12-15 points, with wins at both Columbia, Cornell. Quakers are 8-1 vs teams ranked lower than #150, losing by 2 to James Madison. Yale is 3-1 in Ivy, winning by 4-13-10 points, losing to Harvard; Bulldogs lost three in row, seven of last nine games with Penn, with Quakers winning three of last four visits here. Ivy League home teams are 5-3 vs spread if number is less than 4 points.

Princeton is playing its 11th straight road game vs D-I teams; they beat a D-III team at home Jan 8. Tigers won four of their last five games with Brown, beating Bruins by 10-18 points in LY's games. Tigers lost four of last five visits here, with losses by 15-7-18-10 points. Brown is 1-3 in Ivy, losing by 4-13-9 points; they're 0-8 vs teams ranked in top 200, with six of the eight losses by 9+ points. Ivy League home underdogs are 2-3 against the spread. Princeton

Cornell had best team in Ivy two years ago, but those kids graduated, so Big Red lost twice to Harvard LY, by 21-13 points. Cornell split its first four Ivy games this year, losing by 12-5 points. Crimson is 4-0 in Ivy games, with three wins by 16+ points; Harvard won its last six games, allowing 47.6 ppg. Ivy League double digit underdogs are 1-4 vs spread, 0-3 at home. Cornell is 1-4 vs top 100 teams, with St Bonaventure's win in season opener (79-58) only loss by more than nine points.

Home side won five of last six Columbia-Dartmouth games, with Lions losing two of last three visits here, losing by 14-4 points. Columbia lost three of first four league games, with all five games decided by 5 or less points; Lions are 5-2 vs teams ranked lower than #200; their last three wins are by 7-5-5 points. Dartmouth is 0-4 in Ivy, scoring just 49 ppg, with three of four losses by 10+ points. Ivy League single digit favorites are 6-4, 2-1 on the road.

Cleveland State shot 57% from floor, 10-17 from arc in 69-48 (-14) win over Loyola Jan 7; Vikings won six of last seven games, taking last three by 10-26-20 points. CSU is 4-1 on Horizon road, 5-1-1 as favorite, 2-1 on road, winning away games by 2-5-7-20 points. Loyola lost all 11 of its league games; they're 3-7 as Horizon dog, losing home games by 16-11-21-6 points. Horizon League home underdogs are 9-5 against spread. Four of Ramblers' last seven losses were by 7 or less points.

St Peter's lost 14 of 16 games since beating Siena 51-44 at home (-5.5) on Dec 1; Peacocks held Siena to 34% that day, 3-18 from arc, but Peacocks are a bad team-- their last six losses are all by 11+ points. MAAC aingle digit home favorites are 14-8-1 against the spread. Siena is 5-3 in its last eight games, winning its last five home games, by 13-12-4-3-11 points-- they're 2-0-1 this season as a MAAC home favorite. St Peter's is 2-4 as MAAC road dog, losing away games by 26-4-12-11-35 points.

Rider is 8-6 in its last 14 games after a 1-10 start; Broncs won their last three games by 24-35-11 points- they're 3-3 as MAAC road dog, losing road games by 20-4-9-20 points, with wins at Manhattan/St Peter's, but they're still just 1-11 vs teams ranked in top 150, nine of 11 losses by 8+ points. Loyola Md won four in row, seven of last eight games; they are 2-4 as MAAC home favorite, winning home games by 13-1-15-11-11 points. MAAC aingle digit home favorites are 14-8-1 against the spread.

Niagara (+7) lost 79-75 at home to Fairfield Dec 2, despite 35 points for Green; Purple Eagles lost last three games, by 7-12-17 points- they are 3-1 as MAAC road dog, losing away games by 12-12-7 points, winning at Loyola/Canisius. MAAC double digit home favorites are 3-8 against the spread. Fairfield won three of its last four games; they're 2-2 as home favorite, winning by 18-9-29 points, with losses to Iona/Loyola. Stags are 10-1 this season against teams ranked lower than #200.
