MAAC teams continue to streak against the spread
Sportsmemo.com

Check out some of the wild against the spread runs the MAAC has produced of late.

Canisius - A money earner during non-conference play (6-2 ATS) the betting markets caught up to the Golden Griffins who are on a 1-5 ATS slide in conference action.

Fairfield - The Stags have been streaky. They failed to cover a single pointspread during November, ripped off five of their next six, but have struggled in MAAC play covering only one of their last six games.

Manhattan - The Jaspers struggled mightily following the loss of do-everything guard George Beamon (16.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg) who was lost for the year in early December. But they've been ultra-competitive in MAAC play (+5 scoring through eight games) and as a result have cashed five of their last six tickets.

Niagara - The Purple Eagles have morphed into a title contender with seven straight league wins. They covered all but one of those contests.

Rider - The hottest team in the league, the Broncs have won five straight and covered seven straight. They are a perfect 8-0 ATS vs. the MAAC heading into tonight's showdown vs. Canisius.

St. Peter's - The Peacock had a few showings early in the season that suggested they may be improved (SU wins vs. Rutgers and Iona). But the wheels have fallen off with six straight SU and ATS losses in league play.
