EVANSTON, IL (ATS Consultants) – Ohio State remains two games back of first-place Indiana in the Big Ten and will look to pick up a victory tonight against a struggling Northwestern team at 7:00PM ET.

The Buckeyes are 20-7 overall and 10-5 in the Big Ten, while the Wildcats are 13-15 overall and 4-11 in the conference.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Buckeyes opened as 9.5-point favorites but the spread has jumped to 10.5, and the total has gone from 122 up to 124.5.

NCAA FREE PICK: Take Ohio State. According to the latest college basketball trends, Ohio State is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record and is 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. win. Northwestern is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games after scoring less than 50 points in their previous game and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. Big Ten.

Ohio State (20-7 SU, 14-10-1 ATS, 10-5 B10) is going for their third straight win on Thursday. They are coming off a huge win, downing Michigan State on Sunday, 68-60, giving 3.5. They take on a struggling Northwestern (13-15 SU, 12-13 ATS, 4-11 B10) team that has lost five straight games. They haven't really even competed lately, falling 74-43 at Purdue on Sunday getting 6.5 on the road. They have lost their last three games by a combined 80 points. Wildcats averaged 41.7 points over their last three defeats. The Buckeyes would probably be first or second in most conferences but in the tough Big 10, they rank fifth, two games behind first-ranked Indiana. The Buckeyes are led by Deshaun Thomas, who averages 19.9 points per game and 6.1 rebounds. But it was junior point guard Aaron Craft, who led them against Michigan State with 21 points. Northwestern has been hampered by injuries this season, especially to senior forward Jared Swopshire (9.7 points) and senior Drew Crawford (13.5 points).
