Michigan State is 9-4 on the season but 0-1 on the road while Northwestern is 9-2 overall and 6-0 at home.

Michigan State is 5-0 against the spread in their last 5 games at Northwestern and 9-3-2 ATS in their last 14 games as a road favorite of 0.5-to-6.5 points. The over has also hit in the last 4 games between these two teams. My pick is with Michigan State as the spread is too little for the Spartans to not be able to cover. MSU has a new focus with conference play starting and a loss at Northwestern would be too detrimental to their hopes for a conference title.
