NEW YORK, NY (TheSpread) – No. 7 Michigan State isn’t avoiding the tough competition as the Spartans take on No. 8 Syracuse on Tuesday night. Here is a breakdown of my pick for the game.
MSU is 6-2 on the year and 2-1 in neutral site games while Syracuse is 8-0 overall and 2-0 on a neutral site. This game will be played at Madison Square Garden as part of the Jimmy V Classic. MSU is playing their third game this season against a team that has won a national title since 2000.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com have released their odds for this game and made Michigan State a 3-point favorite against Syracuse. The over/under has been set at 139. Here is a look at the trends and my pick for tonight’s game.
Michigan State vs. Syracuse, 9PM ET
Syracuse is 6-2 against the spread in their last 8 games as an underdog while Michigan State is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win. The Spartans have struggled over the years in big non-conference games and this game will almost be a home game for the Orange. My pick is with Syracuse and the points.
