College Basketball Picks & Predictions for Tuesday, March 22, 2011

Bet Kent State vs. Colorado Odds

(The Spread) – With the March Madness Tournament on hiatus for another two days, we’ll hit the NIT again for our daily college basketball free pick.

The only NIT game tonight features a Colorado team that was overlooked for an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament and a Kent State squad that lost out on this year’s MAC title and an automatic bid when it lost to Akron in overtime.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made Colorado a 10.5-point favorite over Kent State on Tuesday night. The over/under total for this game is currently 154 points.

According to latest college basketball trends, Kent State is 13-7 against the spread this year on the road, while Colorado is 10-3 at home. The over is 19-10 in all lined Colorado games this season, while the under is 17-16 in all lined Kent State games.

College Basketball Free Pick: The Buffaloes might be too good to beat at home but the Golden Flashes are capable of keeping the game tight. In fact, their only loss in the last seven games this month was the 66-65 overtime loss to Akron in the MAC championship game. Led by leading scorer Justin Greene and a balanced offensive attack, Kent State has covered the spread in six of its last seven games and has also covered in 10 of its last 15 road games. Meanwhile, Colorado has lost six consecutive games against the spread after covering in three of its last four games. Take Kent State with the points.
