By ATSSportsline.com

EAST LANSING, MI (ATS Consultants) – Seeding in the Big Ten tournament will be on the line when Michigan State hosts Wisconsin at 9:00PM ET tonight.

ODDS: Oddsmakers have installed Michigan State as a 5-point favorite over Wisconsin for tonight’s game, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 122 points. The Badgers are 20-9 overall and 11-5 in the Big Ten, while the Spartans are 22-7 overall and 11-5 in conference play.

LINE MOVEMENT: Michigan State opened as a 5-point favorite and that’s where the line currently sits at most sports books, although some places have the line at 4.5. As for the total, it opened at 119.5 but has jumped to 122 at most online sports books.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the wagers placed on tonight’s game, 79% of college basketball public bettors currently favor the Spartans. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most up-to-date public betting numbers.

NCAA FREE PICK: Take Wisconsin. According to latest college basketball trends, Wisconsin is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a double-digit loss at home, 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. Michigan State is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 Thursday games.

Wisconsin (20-9 SU, 11-15-1 ATS) is coming off one of their worst losses of the season, falling at home to Purdue on Sunday, 69-56, giving 14.5. Michigan State (22-7 SU, 11-13-2 ATS) has lost three straight games including a 58-57 road defeat at Michigan on Sunday, getting 5. Both teams are in the Big Dance so they are fighting for seeds. Wisconsin wins or covers with defense. They are led by Jared Berggren (11.6 points, 7 rebounds) and junior guard Ben Brust (11.3 points, 5.4 rebounds). Freshman backup Sam Dekker has added scoring punch lately, averaging in double figures in six straight games. But Wisconsin wants to win a game in the sixties or maybe fifties. They hold opponents to 55.8 points per game (ninth in the nation) and 39.4 percent shooting (42nd). Both teams are solid defensively but Michigan State is in a bit of a rut and Wisconsin will bounce back from a bad game.

THURSDAY COLLEGE BASKETBALL FREE PICK: WISCONSIN +5
