No. 2 Maryland faces another tough challenge at home today when it hosts Wisconsin at 6:30PM ET on ESPN. Can the Terps handle the Badgers?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Maryland is favored at home today, as the Terrapins are getting odds of -9 points against the Badgers. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 133 points.
Maryland is 22-3 on the season, 10-2 in the Big Ten, 14-0 at home and 12-12 against the spread. Wisconsin is 15-9 overall, 7-4 in the Big Ten, 3-3 on the road and 12-12 against the spread. Maryland has won and covered the spread in four of its last six against Wisconsin.
This game features two of the hottest teams in the Big Ten, as Wisconsin has won and covered in six straight while Maryland has won five straight and is 3-1 against the spread in their last four conference games. Wisconsin’s wins aren’t exactly an impressive list, as their road wins were over Illinois and Penn State. The Badgers’ last road loss came against another poor team in Northwestern. Maryland has beaten and covered against Purdue and Iowa in their last two at home, two ranked opponents. Look for another solid showing from the Terps today.
