Final 4 Team Trends
By Mike Rose
VegasInsider.com

The 2013 NCAA Tournament has been whittled from 68 teams all the way down to just four, and we are now in Atlanta for the Final Four. There are some shocking teams that have made it here to the Peach State, and we are going to be taking a look at some of the betting trends that these clubs each have heading into the final weekend of the college basketball season.

Louisville Cardinals – The Cardinals are clearly the most talented team left in the dance, and they were probably the most talented team when they were seeded No. 1 overall in the NCAA Tournament as well. They are now 10-1 against the spread in their last 11 games overall, and they have covered three of the four games here in the NCAA Tournament. The lone ATS defeat came at the hands of the Oregon Ducks, a game in which Louisville led by as many as 17. Louisville is now 20-7 ATS in its last 27 neutral site games, and it is 8-1 ATS in its last nine games played here in the NCAA Tournament.

Wichita State Shockers – Wichita State is clearly the darling of the dance right now, as it has trumped the Florida Gulf Coast story as the best saga of the NCAAs. The West Region was always wide open though, and the No. 9 seed, which has been an underdog in three of its four games in the tourney, has gotten through it all. The Shockers though, haven't been double-digit underdogs all season long. The closest comparable game was a 53-51 win at the VCU Rams back in November when the Shockers were catching nine points. Wichita State is also 6-2-1 ATS in its last nine games against Big East teams, including when it outmuscled the Pitt Panthers in the second round of the tourney.

Michigan Wolverines – These Wolverines are being compared to the Fab Five Michigan team that was so famous in school history. This is the first time that the team has been in the Final Four since the early-1990s back when basketball was the thing in Ann Arbor and the likes of Jalen Rose, Juwan Howard, and Chris Webber were dominating the game. Michigan has covered all four of its games in the dance, but this will be the first time that it is going to be taking on a Big East team en route to the Final Four. That said, the Wolverines are 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the Big East.

Syracuse Orange – Head Coach Jim Boeheim is clearly a future Hall of Famer, and he is going to hope to add another National Championship to his mantle this season. The Orange haven't been to the Final Four since the days of Gerry McNamara and Carmelo Anthony, but this is a great opportunity to shine. This Syracuse outfit is the only team in the tourney to hold a team in the 30s in scoring, and it has now done so twice. The Orange are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 outside of the Big East.
