OVER 221 DENVER @ OKLAHOMA CITY | 3/29 | 8:00 PM EDT
My projections see the Thunder and Nuggets combining for at least 231 points Friday, clipping the Over on what appears to be a light total. Oklahoma City got its stagnant offense going in the second half of its comeback win Wednesday against Indiana, and I'm projecting an improved pace. Denver has been trending Under, but look for it to go more up tempo against a Thunder club that is on a 3-1-1 run to the Over.

OVER 233.5 PORTLAND @ ATLANTA | 3/29 | 7:30 PM EDT
My projections see a whopping 244 points combined hitting the scoreboard between the Trail Blazers and Nets on Friday, enough to push past the hefty total with room to spare. The Hawks have played Over in their last six following a straight-up win and are on a 4-1 Over spurt at home. The Blazers are on a 3-0-1 run to the Over as well.

PLAY: (670) DUKE -7
RATING: 4% PLAY
Battle of ACC rivals and Duke plays with revenge losing at Virginia Tech earlier in the year. When Duke lost that first meeting Duke had just played N. Carolina (Game Zion got hurt) then at Syracuse (1st game without Zion) and beat Syracuse. Classic Injured Player Theory in 1st Meeting when Virginia Tech won as it was Duke off a win without star Zion. Teams usually play well first game after injury then lose in the next game. Duke survived scare against C. Florida will serve as wake up call. In C. Florida game Duke settled for too many jumpers not driving the ball inside as they only got to the line 12 times. Taco Fell for C. Florida changed Duke’s game plan as Duke was intimidated by his presence. Virginia Tech doesn’t have a 7’ 6” Center like Taco Fell. Virginia Tech has held 4 straight opponents to 38% or less shooting, but Virginia Tech has been Lucky catching St. Louis off winning their Conference Tournament just to get to the Dance then getting Liberty off the Upset of Mississippi St. I feel this number is short as the public is over reacting to Duke’s close scare. My number has Duke Winning by 10-13 Points.
TAKE DUKE as MARCO’S 4% SWEET 16 GAME OF THE WEEK

ARIZONA @ L.A. DODGERS | 3/29 | 10:10 PM EDT
The Dodgers unleashed an offensive onslaught on the Diamondbacks for Opening Day. That was a slight surprise for a team that lost a considerable amount of power in the off-season. L.A.'s roster isn't exactly the same as last year's, but in 2018 the team was well below-average against LHPs. That includes against Robbie Ray, who allowed three runs and struck out 16 in 10.1 innings against these Dodgers. Ross Stripling is an All-Star caliber spot-starter, but he allowed eight runs in 11 innings against the Diamondbacks. Arizona didn't burn its strong bullpen Thursday, so if the bats can get to Stripling early, the D'backs can throw pitchers at the Dodgers to the end.

SAN FRANCISCO @ SAN DIEGO | 3/29 | 10:10 PM EDT
The Giants didn't score on Opening Day. I'm not expecting an explosion Friday. Padres starter Joey Lucchesi allowed four runs over 11 innings in his rookie year against San Fran, with 17 strikeouts and one walk. Derek Holland has not been successful against the Padres, with a 6.23 ERA in six appearances against them. San Diego survived Madison Bumgarner on Thursday -- it can continue the success again a consecutive LHP at Petco.

BOSTON @ SEATTLE | 3/29 | 10:10 PM EDT
Seattle's offense tore through Boston's pitchers, including Chris Sale, on Thursday. The Sox will be out for a rebound, but starter Nathan Eovaldi was a mess on the road last year. His 5.18 ERA with more than three runs higher than his mark at Fenway. His nighttime ERA was four runs higher than his one in daylight. Boston may have the best-hitting team in MLB, but last year it hit only .250 against LHPs. The one the Sox will be facing Friday, Yusei Kikuchi, is a three-time All-Star in Japan and someone they've never faced.

Denver has beaten Oklahoma City all three times the teams have met this year, all by at least seven points. The Thunder need this game more than the Nuggets, but Denver is playing for something, too. The Thunder are on a 2-5 ATS slide, as well. I'll side with the No. 4 team in the NBA getting points.

CHARLOTTE @ L.A. LAKERS | 3/29 | 10:30 PM EDT

The Hornets have played their way back into the Eastern Conference playoff race with four wins in a row. The Lakers have nothing to play for but pride and lottery balls. But Charlotte is just 11-24 on the road this season, and has covered just once in its last five games as the favorite. The Lakers have covered three in a row as oddsmakers have given up on L.A., and they beat Charlotte by 28 earlier this year. I'll take the points on the home underdog.
