#83 4* Calgary Flames ML -155 (10:00 est)
Love the Flames here to get back on the winning track after losing 5-2 at home in their last game since they are 14-2 in games after they give up 4 or more goals. Calgary eats up losing teams having won their last 8 games against teams with losing records. Vancouver is off of 4 straight road games and that is bad news for them as they are 5-10 after playing 3 roadies in a row and they are just 6-8 in divisional games. Thank you and good luck.

Central Michigan Chippewas - Buffalo Bulls OVER (3:30 est) - 661/662
Have to love the Over here since Central Michigan has gone over on 19 of their last 26 Saturday games and these teams have gone Over in 8 of their last 10 meetings. Buffalo is in need of national attention if they want to get into the tournament and get a better seed so they will be very motivated to put up a ton of points and their offense is scoring over 84 points per game. Central can score as well putting up an average of 81 points per game themselves and they would love to knock off the ranked Bulls. Look for this one to go screaming over the total here.

Rotation #679-680
Dayton +1.5 over Rhode Island
Dayton experienced growing pains last year with a new coach and felt the pain of a blowout loss the last time they were in this building. Jared Terrell and EC Matthews were a great 1-2 combo for URI and the crowd brought the roof down. This year it’s much different. It’s URI with a rookie head coach and a lot of young players seeing increased minutes for the first time this year. Dayton is a very good basketball team that is effective from close range. This is a team that does not need to rely on the 3 point shot. The Flyers can play defense, has size and are very athletic. Take Dayton.

Rotation #713-714
Duke/Virginia Over 135.5
In the matchup three weeks ago both teams were awful from the three point line and awful from the foul line. This game still went over the total. Both teams got easy layups or dunks whenever they wanted in that game and both teams shot over 50% from the field. If the teams didn’t shoot 3 pointers it would have been like 70% all on shots no more than 2 feet from the basket. Simply put these teams can make shots whenever they want inside the paint and I just don’t think it’s mathematically possible for both to be as historically as bad from the foul line or the three point line. I think we are going to have another down to the wire finish. Take the Over.

SAN JOSE -152
SAN JOSE @ EDMONTON | 2/09 | 7:00 PM EST
9:51 AM
I just don't get the line here with San Jose being offered at -150ish against the Oilers in Edmonton tonight. Too good to be true? Maybe, but this is a parlay builder of epic proportions and while it makes no sense from a hockey perspective, I can't get away from one of the best in the NHL coming off a decisive win in Calgary in their last being offered at this price tonight. Take SJ to win tonight.

WINNIPEG @ OTTAWA | 2/09 | 2:00 PM EST
9:50 AM
That Winnipeg is listed at approx. -167 against the Ottawa Senators is a bit odd, but then again the price should be attractive enough to take some hard cash at the end once everyone wakes up this morning. Grab the most favored odds you can as the Jets take off into the win column against a VERY overmatched Ottawa team today.

PHILADELPHIA -245
ANAHEIM @ PHILADELPHIA | 2/09 | 1:00 PM EST
9:48 AM
The headline should read: "Anaheim are 'Sitting Ducks' in Philadelphia Today"-- okay I couldn't resist that one, but in reality it is very rare to see a team like the Flyers, who are barely over .500 in the standings, favored in the -250 range against anyone. This speaks to the level of mediocrity the Ducks have sunk to, and the reality is the Ducks are going to get blown out this afternoon. One must feel very bad for Anaheim goalie John Gibson who is a fine net-minder but has been relegated to a "street hockey" goalie who gives up 7-8 goals in a neighborhood game. Losing their last to Ottawa 4-0 might have seemed the bottom, but I think the bottom is still a bit away. Take the -1.5, it matters not...I like sure things and Philly is just that to win today.

MONTREAL +105
TORONTO @ MONTREAL | 2/09 | 7:00 PM EST
9:44 AM
The country is buzzing at the prospect of this game, on a Saturday night in prime time, in Montreal, on Hockey Night in Canada, between these storied rivals. For the first time in a long, long while, both teams are legitimate contenders for Lord Stanley's Cup and the strong chance of meeting in the playoffs makes this preview game an important one. Toronto is still suffering from the "Blue Flu"; readers may cry foul at my claim, but the evidence is overwhelmingly in my favor. The Leafs are 7-7 since New Years Day and have lost to Detroit, Arizona, Florida and Colorado during that span. Their recent three-game winning streak featured victories against Anaheim (2-8 last 10) and Ottawa (2-6 entering the Leaf game), which indicates a very weak, recent schedule. Montreal is 10-5 since Jan. 1 and the return of Captain Shea Weber, and they should be able to give Toronto all they can handle in front of 15 million views on the CBC tonight. Habs for the WIN at home.
