triple-dime bet
Analysis:
PODCAST BEST BET
X has won 3 straight after losing 6 straight. Nice win at Hall, bu…t Creighton win is fools gold. Nova off back to back losses, neutral court to St. John’s and @ Georgetown. Had been 6-0 ATS on the road prior to that. Xavier is 0-6 SU and ATS against top 50 in KenPom. Xavier outside the top 300 in turnover margin. Always been Jay Wright’s MO, if you are sloppy, he will punish you. Xavier somehow only turned it over 7 times in the first game, and still lost by double digits. Think we are getting Nova at cheapest we can get them and Xavier at their priciest.

834 Michigan -3.5 (-112) Pinnacle vs 833 Michigan St.
dime bet
Analysis:
This is a pretty simple handicap. Michigan State doesn’t have the guys that got them to where they are. Hard enough to fade no Langford, a…nd they had actually done a good job of adjusting to life without him, but now lose Nick Ward, who is their best interior offensive player BY FAR, as well as one of their top rebounders and shot blockers. 3 straight big home wins/covers for Michigan. Ohio State (big rival) by 16, Wisconsin by 9 and Maryland by 13. A couple of bad road losses brought Michigan back to the pack in the Big 10 standings. Has been an underdog twice this year, and failed to cover in both.

Rotation #833-834
Michigan -4 over Michigan State
Michigan State is a great three point shooting team, they have the best player on the court in Cassius Winston and are a great second half team. This team obviously has the coaching as well to get a big win on the road, but sometimes it is easy to out think yourself. Michigan State is missing two of their best players and might be without another key senior reserve player today. Michigan is so good at home and plays rock solid defense. Every single player on Michigan produces each night. This team does not rely on one or two players to lead them to victory. Michigan State in my opinion won’t be able to play 40 solid minutes of basketball with this current rotation. Teams like Rutgers didn’t make them play. The Wolverines will. If Michigan State can go on the road in this atmosphere being as short handed as they are then good for them. I like our chances with the healthier home team that has won 22 straight in this building. Take Michigan

The Nuggets are 25-4 at home, best in the NBA. They beat the Clippers by 21 in the last meeting, also at Denver. In my simulations, the Nuggets are covering this one 65 percent of the time. Lay the points.

4% Take Michigan (#834)
At full strength, I wouldn’t be laying points against the Spartans. BUT, Michigan State is a long way from being at full strength right now. They’ve been able to survive without junior guard Joshua Langford after his season ending foot injury in January. But the injury to junior center Nick Ward – the Spartans second leading scorer and rebounder -- is a killer for Tom Izzo’s squad. And junior wing Kyle Ahrens just re-aggravated an earlier back injury, leaving his status (and his effectiveness if he does play) very much in doubt on Sunday. Put those three injuries together and you’ll see that Izzo has to distribute about 70 minutes of floor time per game to guys he’d rather have on the bench…..
Michigan is 16-0 at home this year, enjoying quite a bit of extra edge at Crisler Arena. They’ve beaten the Spartans by DOUBLE DIGIT margins in each of their last three meetings against Izzo’s squad. They’ve been a dominant ATS team as single digit favorites; 11-4 ATS as chalk of -9.5 or less; which stands in sharp contrast to a Michigan State squad that is 0-fer the year ATS as underdogs. And the Wolverines are finally hitting their free throws – 75% over their last five games – so crucial in closeout situations during the final minute of play. Points worth laying! Take Michigan.

The Knicks are far more interested in trying to land the No. 1 pick in the draft than they are in winning games right now, and they've lost nine of their last 10. They've only managed to go 2-8 ATS in that span as well, and they're only 9-17-2 ATS at home this season. The Spurs, meanwhile, are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 against the East and are fighting for a playoff spot.

Wake Forest gained some confidence with a road win last time out against Notre Dame. This will be another key ATS test, and I think the Demon Deacons are getting too many points. Play on Wake.
