My money today in this Eastern Conference meeting between Orlando and Toronto will be to stay with the recent offensive surge these teams have been on - both before the break, and here immediately after - and that is to play the game to land Over the total.

Orlando played Over the total at home against Chicago on Friday night, as they have played Over in their last pair, 3 of their last 4, and 5 of their last 7 games overall. The Magic has gone for triple-digits now in each of their last 10 games, and a closer look shows the Magic having scored 109 points or more in each of their last 4, and 107 points or more in 8 of those 10 overall.

Toronto has followed a stretch of 5 straight Unders with Overs played in each of their last 3, and their offense has been even more prolific, as the Raptors have scored 119 points or better in 6 of their last 7, including 3 straight. For the season, Toronto does average 114.4 points per game, while allowing 108.8 points per game.

This will be the first meeting between the teams North of the Border, and they have played 5 of their last 7 meetings in the T-O Over the posted price.

Both teams reach their usual century mark and then some today.

Magic-Raptors Over the total.

3* ORLANDO-TORONTO OVER

The Rodeo Road trip has been a bit of a bust for the San Antonio Spurs, as they absorbed another loss on Friday when they played in Toronto against the Raptors. Of course it was an emotional game, as both DeMar DeRozan and Kawhi Leonard, not to mention Danny Green got to say hello to their former teams, and the Toronto crowd did give DeRozan a rousing welcome back ovation as well.

Nonetheless, San Antonio dropped to just 1-5 both straight up and against the spread with that close loss in Canada. Tonight things should take a turn for the better when they play at Madison Square Garden against a New York team that is in full "tank mode" as they do their part in the Zion Williamson Sweepstakes draft upcoming.

Dave Fizdale's team recently ended an 18 game losing streak with a Valentine's Day win at Atlanta, but started back up with a new losings streak in their first game back from the All-Star Break with a 115-104 home loss to Minnesota on Friday night.

Since the Spurs do play on Monday against the surprising Brooklyn Nets just across the bridge, this game has the look of a game Coach Pop's team must take care of business in. San Antonio won the first meeting this year, 100-91 at home as the -5 1/2 point home favorite, as the series winning streak is at 3 straight and 5 of 6 overall. They have also covered in the last pair of series meetings against the Knickerbockers.

This is a lot of points to ask the struggling Spurs to cover on this long road trip, but with their prospects looking much tougher tomorrow night at the Nets, and the Knicks not showing a pulse at all as they lay down for the draft, I will lay it with San Antonio tonight.

4* SAN ANTONIO

Sunday free play is the same as my free play on Wednesday and on Friday night, and that is to play Over the total in the Stars-Blackhawks game from the Madhouse on Madison.

It took an empty-net goal on Friday to send the Avs-Blackhawks Over the total, but Over it was, and that makes it 11 straight Overs played by Chicago. It also puts Chicago on an 18-1 Over the total their last 19 games played!

Like I said on Wednesday and on Friday, you just keep playing the Blackhawks Over the total anytime they drop the puck until we see them actually play a low-scoring game.

Dallas hits the Windy City off a home shutout loss last night against Carolina, as the Stars have now landed Over the total in 2 of their last 3 games skated.

While they could not find the net last night, today they should be just fine against the suspect Chicago net-minding.

Series history shows this year's first meeting having landed Over the total, as the Blackhawks took a 5-2 win in the Metroplex back in December.

Chicago has scored 3 goals or more in 18 of their last 19 games, so why not continue riding the Over when the Blackhawks are in action?

Dallas-Chicago Over the total.

5* DALLAS-CHICAGO OVER

Canisius+7 -115

The NCAAB Comp play is on Canisius at 1:00 eastern. The Golden Griffins have this one circled for a 18 point home loss to Iona and they have covered 9 of 10 on the road, 23 of 31 on the road vs winning home teams and 7 of 10 on Sundays. Iona has failed to cover 7 of 8 on Sundays 4 of 5 at home vs winning road teams and 19 of 27 in the series. The dog has covered 18 of 25. Play on Canisius.

My 1* Free Play is on Michigan (3:45 EST).

The winner of this is likely going to be crowned the conference regular season champion, so to say it’s a “big” game would be a bit of an understatement I think.

And in this case, I definitely think that the home floor advantage can not be overlooked as a deciding factor once it’s all said and done.

MSU enters off a relatively simple 71-60 win over Rutgers on Wednesday. Cassius Winston led the way with 28 points and eight assists. The Spartans are tough, scoring 119.2 points per 100 possessions, while conceding only 89.0 per 100 possessions.

The Wolverines come in on top form as well though after back-to-back victories, including a 69-60 win over Minnesota on Thursday. Jordan Poole led the way with 22 points. Michigan looked particularly sharp on the defensive end, holding the Gophers to 1 of 10 shooting from range.

The Wolverines average 112.8 points per 100 possessions and they allow just 85.1 points per 100 possessions.

Clearly it’s important to note that Michigan is a near-perfect 10-1 ATS in its last 11 home games vs. teams with winning SU road records.

I think this strong trend continues. Consider the home side in this critical Big Ten battle.

Good luck…Larry

Michigan State vs. Michigan
Michigan State+4½ -105

Michigan State has revenge on board for three straight losses in this series and will be hell bent on taking out their long time rivals Michigan here today in Ann Arbor where the home side is undefeated. I know how tough Michigan is and they are highly rated in my power rankings, but Tom Izzos squad, despite of injuries are no pushovers, and ready to upend their rivals here on a line that should be closer to -1.5 , -2 for home team. thus giving us value on what my projections say is a one possession game. Note:MICHIGAN ST is 7-0 ATS when playing against a top-level team (Win Pct. 80% or better this season and is 12-4 ATS against conference opponents this season.

Play on Michigan State to cover

629 DRAKE at 630 ILLINOIS STATE

Take: DRAKE +2

Makes no real sense for Illinois State to be the favorite here, so I guess you can say I’m backing a square dog. But the fact remains Drake has clearly superior statistical data, they’re in much better current form and the Bulldogs are also still very much alive to win the conference title. This could well be pros vs. joes material if the “sharp” money is on the home team, but I will take Drake as the small underdog.
