My free winner is on Atlantic 10-leading Davidson, hosting Dayton tonight, and laying a cheap number. The Wildcats are tied with VCU atop the A-10 standings, with a 10-2 mark in league play following an 80-72 win over Saint Joseph's.

First of all, I don't see the Flyers challenging a team that has won 17 straight at Belk Arena and 23 of its last 24. In league play, Davidson ranks first in scoring defense (60.5) and second in field-goal percentage defense (.387).

A win tonight makes it 20 for the year, and that alone could go a long way with the Selection Committee.

Preseason all-conference selections Kellan Grady and Jon Axel Gudmundsson continue to lead Davidson in scoring, averaging 16.7 and 16.5 points, respectively.

Gudmundsson has six double-doubles this season, and is the only A-10 player to rank in the Top-10 among league leaders in scoring (6th), rebounding (6th/6.8) and assists (6th/4.4). He also ranks among conference leaders in free-throw percentage (6th/.827), steals (14th/1.3), assist/turnover ratio (7th/1.9), defensive rebounds (4th/6.1) and minutes played (6th/36.3).

I look for Gudmundsson to be the catalyst tonight, as he's averaging 17.6 points, 7.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists over his last five games.

Meanwhile, there's freshman Luke Frampton, who leads the A-10 in 3-pointers made (80), per game (3.2) and attempted (203). In his last eight games, Frampton is 37-of-75 (.493) from behind the 3-point line. And in league play, Frampton is shooting 45.3 percent (44-97) from long-range.

Take Davidson, as it will pour it on offensively roll.

The first meeting between these in-state conference rivals occurred back on January 23rd when Tennessee had just taken over the # 1 ranking in the nation and entered Nashville as a -9 point road favorite. In that game, Vandy did everything but win that game, as they forced the Volunteers into overtime before bowing, 88-83.

Can Vandy turn the trick again?

I say that would be very doubtful, as the Commodores enter with just 9 wins on the year, and are in the midst of a 13 game losing streak - obviously losing ALL of their conference games - going just 4-9 against the spread in those 13 setbacks.

Tennessee as we all know let a pretty close game at the half at Kentucky over the weekend slip away in a hurry in the second half when the Wildcats ran them out of Rupp Arena in an 86-69 rout that ended the Volunteers stay at # 1 in the land, and also ended the Vols 19 game winning streak.

Obviously the Commodores are not going to win this game, the real question is whether the Volunteers will still be sulking over their ass-whipping at UK on Saturday or whether they will want to administer an ass-whipping tonight?

UT averages a lofty 89 points per game, while allowing 69 points per game, while Vandy scores right at 72 points per game and also allows 72 points per game.

In the series the Volunteers have won 3 straight and 5 of the last 6, but are just 3-3 against the spread in that stretch. Yes, the points are big enough to ponder an underdog play in this in-state rivalry meeting, but after Tennessee got stretched to the limit in the first meeting, and after that embarrassing second-half meltdown on Saturday at Kentucky, I expect the now # 5 team in the land to take no prisoners tonight at home against the inferior visitor.

Lay it.

This Tuesday night, going to play Ole Miss to notch another win, as the Rebels have firmly shaken off their late January nose-dive - 4 straight losses - by winning each of their last 4 games heading into this road game in Columbia tonight. Among the Rebels wins are solid road showings at both Georgia and more impressively Auburn, as Ole Miss has shown to be true "road warriors" this year at 8-4 straight up and 10-2 against the spread away from Oxford this season.

South Carolina enters at 13-12, as their win over Texas A&M at home last time out pushed their mark above the break-even mark for the year. The Gamecocks are not "vintage", but Frank Martin is able to get maximum effort out of this team on a nightly basis, so expect this game to be close.

The series has been dead-even over the last 10 meetings, with each team winning outright 5 times. The difference tonight could well come down to free-throws and three-balls, as Ole Miss does lead the SEC in team free-throw percentage at just over 77%. As for the three-balls, South Carolina matched their school record with 16 of them in their last game against Texas A&M.

I do not see the Gamecocks duplicating that feat from behind the arc tonight at home versus the Rebels, but I do see the Rebels being steady as ever from the charity stripe, and in a low-line contest, that will make the difference against the spread.

Take Ole Miss.

Tuesday's comp winner is for Kentucky to (as they say in tennis terminology) "consolidate the break" tonight at Missouri with a blowout win and cover.

UK came of age and showed their true potential on Saturday night when they lit up # 1 ranked Tennessee. 86-69, as the Wildcats quickly put behind them the memory of that bitter last second home loss to LSU in their previous contest. Now John Calipari's team will take their act on the road against a Mizzou team that only scores 68 points per game for, while allowing 68 points against.

The Tigers have won only 3 times in their last 10 games, and are just 2-4 against the spread their last 6 times in the underdog role.

Kentucky has covered in 7 of their 10 lined away games this season, and this team sure has the look of a team that will be playing deep into the month of March this season.

The SEC rivals have not played yet this year, and past history shows Big Blue having won 9 of the last 10 series meetings, with the favorite in the series covering in 7 of the last 9 series meetings. When these teams met last February in Lexington, Kentucky hammered Missouri, 87-66.

Mizzou doesn't have much going right now at 12-12 for the year, and while laying double-digits on the conference road is always a bit sketchy, this young Kentucky team is playing with ice water in their veins this season.

Kentucky to pound Miissouri.

#CBB FREE PICK FROM MIKE LUNDIN

The Ole Miss Rebels and the South Carolina Gamecocks enter Tuesday tied for fourth place in the SEC with 8-4 records, three games behind LSU and Tennessee.

The Rebels are the hotter team though, going for a fifth straight win and they picked up a 60-55 victory as an 8-point underdog at Auburn last time out on the road to improve to 9-1 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.

Here Ole Miss will visit a South Carolina side that was off to a 4-0 start in conference play but has lost four of its last seven games. The Gamecocks have covered the spread in only two of their last 10 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.

Ole Miss is 12-3 ATS as a favorite on the season and has covered the spread in each of the last four meetings with South Carolina, both trends I think will hold true here.

Free pick on Ole Miss Rebels.

1* Free NCAAB Pick on Quinnipiac Bobcats +1.5

I really like the value here with Quinnipiac getting points at home against Iona. The Gaels have no business being favored on the road. Iona is a mere 3-12 away from home this season with an atrocious 2-12 ATS mark. They have failed to cover 7 of their last 8 vs a team that has a winning home record.

The Bobcats are also playing some of their best basketball coming into this matchup. Quinnipiac just upset Siena on the road to improve to 4-1 over their previous 5 and are 6-2 ATS over their last 8 overall.

These two teams met at Iona earlier this month and the Bobcats won 66-65 on the road, covering as a 3.5-point dog (led by 9 at the half). Quinnipiac is 18-9 ATS last 2 seasons vs a team with a losing record and are 3-0-1 in their last 4 meetings with the Gaels. Take Quinnipiac!

NCAA-B | Toledo vs Eastern Michigan
Play on: Eastern Michigan +3 -115 at Bovada

Eastern Michigan has been in a few tight battles with Toledo. These two played three times last year in the span of a few weeks with EMU winning 85-79 and 71-69 before losing to the Rockets 64-63 in the conference tournament. The Eagles are led by Elijah Minnie, Paul Jackson and James Thompson IV. EMU has won two of their last three and have been a hot and cold team at home with wins over Kent State and NIU there, but they also lost to Miami-Ohio and Bowling Green. Toledo is coming off a tough 88-82 loss at home to Buffalo in a game that they were highly hyped for. I wish there was a tough game coming up so we could have the sandwich spot but alas NIU isn't. This team's offense isn't as strong on the road so maybe we get the lower scoring game that the Eagles need to win. I just think that there could be a little hangover spot here.

Dave’s Tuesday Free Play:

1* on VCU -8

The Key: The VCU Rams are tied with Davidson for first place in the Atlantic 10. They won’t be letting up any time soon. They are 10-2 SU & 9-3 ATS in Atlantic 10 play this year with an average victory of 10.4 PPG. VCU is also 12-1 at home this season. Rhode Island is 1-5 SU & 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games overall, including a 15-point loss at Davidson and a 29-point home loss to Dayton. They also lost at home to Fordham last time out as 11-point favorites. VCU wants to avenge a road loss at Rhode Island in their first meeting this season. Rhode Island is 0-6 ATS as a road underdog or PK over the last 2 seasons. VCU is 9-0 ATS after allowing 30 points or less in the first half of two straight games this season. Rhode Island is 4-12 ATS in its last 16 road games overall. VCU is 4-0 ATS in its last 4 home games. The favorite is 8-0 ATS in the last 8 meetings. Take VCU.

Jack’s Free Pick Tuesday: Iowa -2

The No. 21 Iowa Hawkeyes are now 20-5 this season, including 13-2 at home. They have the best team they’ve had in years and fans are starting to turn out for their home games. They should be able to handle their business at home today against Maryland.

The Terrapins have a quality team as well this season at 19-7. But they just don’t have any big road wins this season, and they have been lacking big road wins ever since Mark Turgeon took over. In fact, the Terrapins are 0-19 SU in Big Ten road games against ranked opponents under Turgeon.

The Hawkeyes are certainly feeling like they can’t lose right now after getting back-to-back buzzer-beaters to win their last two games. And they recently beat Michigan 74-59 at home to show what they are capable of against the best in the Big Ten.

Iowa is 34-16 ATS in its last 50 home games following a road win. Turgeon is 4-12 ATS in road games when playing against a team that wins more than 80% of their games after 15-plus games as the coach of Maryland. His teams are losing by 11.0 points per game in this spot. Bet Iowa Tuesday.

NHL | Ducks vs Wild
Play on: Ducks +1½ -140 at YouWager

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NHL Game #61 Tuesday Free Pick Anaheim Ducks Puck Line (+1.5 goals) @ Minnesota Wild @ 8:05 ET - Truly I was very tempted to take the Ducks as a nearly 2 to 1 underdog here on the money line in this one. However, my strong feeling is that the extra insurance of having the +1.5 goals could prove big in this one as there is a chance it could end up tied late and be decided in overtime or the shootout. That said, the fact the price range is as low as -135 on the Anaheim puck line is a great value that makes the Ducks Puck Line well worth a look here. Keep in mind, the Ducks have more wins (2) in their past 3 games than the Wild have in the past 26 days! Minnesota has lost 8 of its 9 games since winning on January 23rd. The Wild are starting to squeeze the sticks too tight as the pressure is getting to them. Minnesota coach Bruce Boudreau fanned the flames of the fire burning pressure recently when he essentially guaranteed to the media that the Wild would make the playoffs. Keep in mind the Ducks have allowed just 5 goals in their 3 games since firing their head coach and they now only trail the Wild by 5 points for the final wild card spot in the west and there is still a lot of hockey left this season. In other words, Anaheim is highly motivated here and keep in mind Boudreau was the coach of the Ducks up until a few seasons ago. Anaheim wants this game badly and has taken 3 of the last 4 meetings. Two teams currently going opposite directions and the Wild, unlike the Ducks, have been giving up a ton of goals. Minnesota has allowed 4 or more goals in 6 of its last 8 games. Free Pick ANAHEIM Puck Line +1.5 goals

10* FREE NCAAB PICK (Iowa State -9)

I'll take my chances with the Cyclones winning by double-digits at home against the Bears. If you just look at the line without doing any research, you might be tempted to take the big number with Baylor. However, the Bears are likely to be short-handed. We know for sure that Tristan Clark won't play and there's a good chance both Makai Mason and King McClure won't be in action.

Those are Baylor's top 3 scorers, who combine average 40.1 points. That's 55.8% of the 71.8 ppg that the Bears average. In their last game without those 3, they managed just 61 points on 35% shooting in a 25-point loss at Texas Tech. Baylor is just 1-3 in their last 4.

Iowa State lost on the road to Bears back in early January, so that should eliminate any looking past Baylor in this one. The Cyclones also are just 1-game back in the loss column for the top spot in the Big 12, so there's more than enough motivation in play. I just think as long as they show up with the right mentality, this thing is going to turn into a blowout. Give me the Cyclones -9!

1 Unit FREE PLAY on Iowa State -9.5

The Iowa State Cyclones are probably the best team in the Big 12 right now. They are 7-2 SU & 6-3 ATS in their last nine games overall, including their 78-64 win at first-place Kansas State over the weekend. And now they want to avenge a 3-point loss at Baylor earlier this season against a Bears team that is just a mash unit right now. The Bears are 1-3 SU & 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games overall, losing by 12 at Texas, by 7 at home to Kansas State and by 25 at Texas Tech. They are already missing second-leading scorer Tristan Clark, and leading scorer Makai Mason and third-leading scorer King McClure are both questionable tonight. They just don’t have the firepower to hang with Iowa State now. The Cyclones are 15-4 ATS in their last 19 when revenging a loss as a road favorite. Give me Iowa State.

1* Free Sharp Play on Kentucky -11 -109

My money is on the Wildcats to cash in an easy win and cover here as a double-digit road favorite at Missouri. I think the perception here is that this will be a big letdown spot for Kentucky off that huge home game against No. 1 Tennessee on Saturday. While we aren't going to see the same intensity that we saw against the Vols, I think the Wildcats can easily win here by 15+ with their "B" to "C" game. Missouri's is just 2-4 at home in SEC play and one of those wins was a 1-point victory over Arkansas and the other was against a bad Vandy team. I think the most telling home loss is a 63-87 setback to Tennessee. Bet Kentucky -11!
