Bruce Marshall

Grizzlies -5.5

Much as Sacto HC Dave Joerger would like to pay back former employer Memphis for terminating him after last season, he's only been able to win one of first three vs. Griz, and that was with Boogie Cousins still in the fold as he scored 22 with nine boards back on Dec. 16. Since the Cousins trade at the All-Star break, Kings have only won SU three times and had covered only 4 of their last 12 into last Wednesday vs. Bucks. Memphis has won handily in the last two meetings (both of those, by the way, with Cousins still in the Sacto lineup), and Griz had won and covered four in a row thru March 20 as they make one last push to move as high as 4th in the West playoff queue (and first-round home edge).

Wyoming -1

This is the opener of the CBI Tournament Championship series which uses a best-of-three format. One can argue tonight's game is critical for Coastal Carolina as this is their ONLY home appearance in the championship set. Despite Wyoming in true road games struggling all season (4-11 record) the OFFSHORE number (opened at most locations at a virtual pick-em) has moved in their direction which has caught my attention. While Wyoming has only 18 offensive rebounds in 3 different CBI tournament games (all at home), Coastal Carolina averages 12 offensive boards per contest so the offshore spike "against" them to me speaks volumes. It should be noted that Wyoming on the season is an outstanding 11-3 ATS on "non" conference setups like tonight
