Bruce Marshall
Cubs / Giants Under 7.5
Thanks to a five-run second inning last night by the Cubs, the "under" recommendation was under siege from almost the outset, but not sure that one eruption vs. Matt Peavy is an indicator that all is well again with the Cubs offense. Giants starter Matt Cain has been pitching better lately and should offer more resistance tonight. But the "under" appeals again also because of recent form of the Cubs' Jon Lester and his 1.88 ERA.

Regular clients are aware that this is the second straight card that I am siding with Arizona who successfully cashed a sizeable underdog ticket last night despite entering on an 0-7 "series" skid versus the opposition. As explained last night the chief operating officer of Arizona is the same Tony LaRussa who once managed the Cardinals to a World championship which makes this particular series being played in St. Louis meaningful. For those who have followed Arizona they have played better on the ROAD and according to their manager Robbie Ray is coming off his most effective start of the campaign (just two runs allowed in 7 innings with 6 strikeouts along the way). When cast as a ROAD UNDERDOG within today's parameters (100-and-150) Arizona has a WINNING overall record (9-3)
