MISSISSIPPI (-5.5) over Georgia Tech
Pretty simple handicap here as the Yellow Jackets haven’t won on the road since Jan. 15 and the Rebels haven’t lost at home since Jan. 28 when they nearly upset Baylor in a 78-75 loss as an 8-point dog. Bottom line: Georgia Tech has been a different team away from home, including the last time they played on the road and lost to Syracuse, 90-61, while the Rebels are playing their best ball of the season, as seen by a win over Sweet 16-bound South Carolina in the season finale. And judging from the ACC’s dreadful performance in the Big Dance, GT’s stats and overall record may very well be overrated. Look for the Ole Miss depth to wear down a short-handed Tech team that averages just 63 points per game on the road.
