Orlando severely let us down last night, losing outright at Portland 97-83 as three-point favorites. It was the team's third straight loss overall (season high) and they haven't scored more than 85 points in any of those defeats. We didn't like this spot for the Magic before last night and now we really don't like it, given what we've seen from the team over the past week. The flu virus affected them late last week and they just haven't been the same since. Orlando is just 2-8 ATS in road games this season and 1-5 ATS when playing in the second night of back to backs. Ask around the league and you'll find out that playing without rest in Utah ranks among the most difficult chores in NBA betting. The Magic are 4-13 ATS if they were a favorite in their previous game. We played against the Jazz last time out as they hosted red hot Miami and were rewarded with an easy win and cover as our NBA Game of the Month. It was Utah's first SU/ATS loss vs. an Eastern Conference opponent this season. They are 6-1 ATS if they were an underdog last game. Utah is our 15* Non-Conference Game of the Week.
