8* Marist +10.5
For a number of different reasons I believe the value in this contest is on Marist:
The Broncos are 13-12 ATS this year; on February 19th they beat Delaware 95-86 as 8-point favorites.
This is a spot that Rider has struggled in all year; 4-9 ATS as a favorite; also 1-2 ATS when playing with 5 or 6 days of rest.
On the other side of the court: The Red Foxes are 12-13 ATS this year, including 7-4 ATS in front of the home town crowd; on February 19th they beat New Hampshire 58-49 as 4-point underdogs; that win snapped an 11-game losing streak and I'm expecting this team to carry some of that momentum over into this contest.
Note that Marist is 8-2 ATS this season when revenging a road loss vs. an opponent.
Bottom line: These teams last met on January 20th and Rider hammered Marist 80-66.
Sam Prescott is the lone Marist player to be averaging double digits in points as he puts in 11.7 per game. Rider's scoring attack is highlighted by Justin Robinson, who averages 16 points per contest.
Dorvell Carter scored 18 points in the win over Delaware.
This is simply too many points to be giving up to a highly motivated, revenge minded home side with nothing to lose; 8* play on MARIST!
