Villanova (+5) for 3 Units
All the early mid-season momentum seems to be sucked out of Villanova as they spiral on a 1-9 ATS slide. Today, however, we find the value coming back to the Wildcats. Villanova, which has been in the favorite role for most of the season now finds itself beaten down by the press and subjugated to the biggest dog role all season. This, however, is when Villanova is dangerous. They have covered both their dog roles this season at U Conn and at Syracuse and have given ND fits in the past (3-1-1 ATS). We're going to look for Corey Fisher to break out of his disastrous two game shooting slump. Remember, this guy dropped 34 points on DePaul February 19th. Any kind of good production from him will compliment Stokes and Wayns. The Irish are salivating at the possibility of a Big East double-bye but Villanova is not going away without a significant fight. The Irish have been a shaky 1-5 ATS on Mondays and should have trouble on their home court for a change.

Bulls at Wizards
Pick: Bulls -7.5
The Bulls’ only loss over the past three weeks occurred when they were completely flat coming out of the All-Star break, losing 118-113 in Toronto. They are hitting on all cylinders now and we don’t see them having any trouble here. Chicago is off two wins in which they held their opponent to 40 and 38% shooting respectively. The Wizards should have trouble getting to 80 points here. The Bulls are 7-0 ATS (+11.9 ppg) on the road with at most one day of rest after a game on the road in which they allowed less than 40% from the field, 5-0 ATS on the road when Joakim Noah took fewer than 10 shots the last two and 4-0 ATS on the road after a win on the road in which Luol Deng was the Bulls' high scorer, covering by an average of 19.2 ppg.
The Wizards have adopted a defeatist attitude in this spot. Washington is 0-4 ATS on Monday after playing on Friday and Saturday, 0-4 ATS with at most one day of rest after a home loss in which their field goal attempt per turnover ratio was at least eight and 0-4 ATS at home when less than 50% of their baskets were assisted for two straight games. Also, Washington is 0-5 ATS (-10.3 ppg) at home with at least a day of rest after a loss in which Javale McGee scored fewer than 10 points.
Finally, the league as a whole is 0-9 ATS (-8.9 ppg) since late in the 2008-09 season at home when seeking revenge for a loss as a home dog in which they shot less than 40% from the field.
The Wizards will not be aggressive on offense simply because the individual players do not want their offensive stats to suffer vs the smothering, in-your-face defense of the Bulls. Lay the points.
