Bobby Flanagan

3* Villanova +3

The Wildcats are looking like they started this season right where they left off last year. Their only loss coming to Temple while they have put it on cruise control past their other opponents.

Louisville has taken a couple of losses to weak opponents like Western Carolina and Charlotte at home earlier this season that does not look good for them. Their S.O.S. was easy in non-conference play but they still choked up in their two toughest games to Kentucky and UNLV. Right now Louisville should only have 1 loss instead of 4.

I think the four guard line up for Villanona is too fast and too talented for the Cardinals to handle and we'll go ahead and take the points in a game I think Villanova wins outright.

The Cardinals over the last decade have been losing over 75% of their tickets over the past few years when playing teams with winning records over .600%.

3* Utah State -18

Hawaii never travels well to the mainland and they are off to a 0-3 start this season ATS in road games. Utah State is coming off back to back road losses and they should win this by 20+ points.

I expect a very motivated Utah State team to try to salvage a bad road trip and learn from their mistakes and take out some frustration on Hawaii in the confines of their own building.

Utah State beat them by 20 here last year and I don't see any reason why they can't do it again this season. It's always good to back a quality hungry team in their first home game after a tough road trip and I think that tactic pays off for us tonight.

BLACK WIDOW

6* Widow Wiseguy Hawks/Celtics NBA GAME OF THE MONTH Atlanta +5

The Hawks catch Boston in a great spot here tonight. The Celtics won a close one at Toronto Sunday, so they are playing back-to-back days. The Hawks last played Saturday, a terrible road loss at Orlando, so they'll be hungry to get back into the win column Monday against a tired Celtics' squad. The Hawks are 22-10 ATS (+11.0 Units) after scoring 85 points or less over the last 3 seasons. Atlanta is 22-10 ATS (+11.0 Units) after a game with 15 or less assists over the last 3 seasons. So after poor offensive games, the Hawks tend to bounce back in their next outing. The Celtics are only 7-17 ATS (-11.7 Units) in home games revenging a loss vs opponent over the last 2 seasons. Atlanta beat Boston 93-85 on Friday just 3 days ago. They held Boston to just 40.8% shooting for the game, and without Kevin Garnett, the Celtics don't have the inside presence to handle Josh Smith, Al Horford and company. Take Atlanta and the points.

5* Wiseguy CBB "STEAL" of the Week Eastern Illinois +18

Eastern Illinois is off to a superb 10-5 start this season and is catching way too many points at Murray State Monday. Murray State is a very good team at 13-3, but this is a letdown spot for them after coming through with a huge road win Saturday at Austin Peay. 10 straight meetings between Eastern Illinois and Murray State have been decided by 12 points or less. So this has been a very heated rivalry in conference play, and we see it staying competitive Monday. Murray State is 5-15 ATS (-11.5 Units) versus excellent teams - shooting >=45% with a defense of <=42% since 1997. Murray State is 0-7 ATS (-7.7 Units) in home games after 2 consecutive covers as a favorite since 1997. Take Eastern Illinois and the points.

4* Nuggets/T'Wolves UNDER 215

This is a very high total Monday between the Nuggets and Timberwolves considering Minnesota averages 96.1 points/game and Denver 106.8 points/game. Denver has scored 105 points or less in 7 of their last 8 games. Denver is 21-12 UNDER (+7.8 Units) when the total is greater than or equal to 200 this season. They are playing much better defense this season with a new-found emphasis on it ever since their deep run in the playoffs last year. The UNDER is 24-11-1 in Timberwolves last 36 games playing on 1 days rest. Take the UNDER 215 points here.

LARRY NESS

10* LEGEND - Siena

Canisius comes into this game at .500 on the season but they're visiting Siena and the Saints are a perfect 8-0 at home this season. Siena is also the only remaining undefeated team in MAAC action as the Saints are 5-0 in Metro Athletic Association Conference games. Siena blasted the Golden Griffins in the MAAC Tournament last season but revenge will be tough to come by for Canisius. The Golden Griffins just haven't been able to match up with Siena. The Saints win over the Golden Griffins in the Conference Tourney last March took them to a perfect 3-0 against Canisius last season and the average margin of victory was 15.7 points. The prior season Siena also crushed Canisius in both games winning each time by a margin of 28 points. That means the Saints last five wins over the Golden Griffins have come by an average margin of 20.6 points per game. This is why‚ the spread on this game (opened around -15) certainly is not overly imposing. Canisius does not score well, just 65.6 points per game in conference action this season, and the Golden Griffins are up against a Siena team that is averaging 79 points per game at home plus holding opponents to a field goal percentage of 38.4% in MAAC games. The Saints wins this season (all 12 of them) have averaged out to a winning margin of 17.4 points per game. Siena is not just defeating teams, they are crushing them. The Saints are 8-3 ATS when favored this season. The Golden Griffins are just 1-4 ATS the last three season when they are a big dog between 15.5 and 18 points. Canisius did win big on Saturday but that 15 point victory came against Marist who is 1-14 on the season. Prior to that win the Golden Griffins had lost six of their last nine games. A big problem for Canisius this season has been allowing teams to own them on the offensive glass. The Golden Griffins are simply allowing too many second chances when facing strong teams and, of course, Siena is one of the MAAC's best and will take advantage of this weakness. Canisius also has seen their 2nd leading scorer, Julius Coles, struggled while trying to overcome an abdominal problem. The Golden Griffins were able to persevere and still defeat the worst team in the MAAC, Marist, but watch how quickly things turn on them when they now faced the best team in the MAAC. With Alex Franklin and Ryan Rossiter crashing the offensive glass for the Saints in this one, it's just a matter of time before this one turns into a rout. 10* LEGEND
