Matt Fargo

9* Philadelphia / Chicago Under 192

Analysis: The Bulls have gone 'over' in five straight games which is their longest stretch this season of games going 'over' the number and I think this is a great time for that run to come to an end. The last two games have not surpassed the number by much so those could have gone either way but with the streak at five, it will be putting those trend players on the 'over' in the hopes of another high scoring game. The Bulls are 21-15 to the 'under' in home games while going 27-15 overall to the 'under' with a total of 190 or higher. The Sixers have gone 'over' in four straight games and that is certainly playing a part in the opening number. Philadelphia has seen more games go 'over' than the Bulls have this season and that has been the case especially of late but like Chicago, the last game should have stayed 'under' as overtime made the difference in that one. The Sixers have scored more than 100 points in six of their last seven games but taking a look at some of those defenses will explain why. Philadelphia is averaging 197.2 ppg scoring in its games this season which is obviously bigger that the total tonight but it will be facing the best defensive team in the NBA in home games as Chicago is allowing only 89.3 ppg in 36 home games. The first two meetings this season have gone 'over' but the one meeting in Chicago was an aberration as the Bulls shot 64.5 percent while scoring 121 points. The Sixers were held to 76 points and that is more of the norm which we should see tonight. The Bulls fall into a great contrarian totals situation. Play the 'Under' after five or more consecutive overs with a team that is outscoring their opponents by three or more ppg. This situation is 133-79 (62.7 percent) to the 'under' since 1996. This is also the type of situation that has been successful for low scoring games as the Bulls are 21-7 to the 'under' when revenging a loss this season and going back further, they are 10-1 to the 'under' in their last 11 games when revenging a loss as a road favorite.

The Duke's Sports

Washington (+12) for 1.5 Units

It used to be that an unrested team going up to the high altitude of Utah's then dominant arena Delta Center spelled trouble for the traveler. However, the Jazz' advantage has gradually deteriorated since the Energy Solutions Arena opened. And the Corbin era may see a further plummet. Utah is 1-7 ATS in their last 8 as a home favorite. The Jazz won't have Devin Harris at the point again, which leaves Earl Watson running the show. He has a few solid frontliners in Jefferson and Millsap but little consistency on the perimeter to stretch the Washington defense. Washington has some depth and has shown some offensive firepower recently. Josh Howard should return tonight and surely John Wall can create scoring opportunities with his quickness against a Corbin defense that allows 107.4 ppg since he took over. Extra incentive for the Wizards: they don't want to match the infamous 1990-91 Sacramento Kings as the team with the worst road record in an 82 game season with just 1 road win. This may be their only shot at eclipsing that mark. Washington the call.

Lenny Del Genio

Oregon +4.5

Underrated storyline of this year's best 2 of 3 Championship Series in the CBI. Oregon HC Dana Altman was the HC at Creighton for 16 seasons and his two main assistants have been with him for 11 and 9 years. The fact that this matchup was known since Thursday gives a huge edge in preparation to the underdog Ducks, who were 12-8 ATS this season when taking points this season. The Blue Jays have been red hot shooting the basketball in this tournament and eventually that has to come to an end. Take Oregon.
