The Yankees had won six in a row, but after last night’s 6-4 loss to the Angels they have now dropped two straight. In today’s afternoon affair the Yankees run out Pettitte and the Angels counter with Pineiro. The Yankees lefty has been very sharp to start the season. In his three starts he’s pitched 20 strong innings with a 1.35 ERA and three team wins. One of those starts was two weeks ago at home when he went six innings against these Angels allowing no runs and only five hits. Pineiro has been nearly as tough as he’s gone 20 strong innings allowing only four earned runs which translates into a 1.77 ERA. We think the big EDGE in this contest is that Pettitte can’t beat the Angels here. In his last five starts in this park he has a perfect 0-5 team start record. The Yankees with Pettitte are a small road favorite in this game. The role of home dog is one the Angels love, posting a 14-5 mark as home puppies over the last two seasons. Last ingredient is that the Angels are now 12-4 at home versus the Yankees. This all adds up to an Angels win this afternoon. Play on LA Angels!

For a number of different reasons I believe the value in this contest is on the home side:
Atlanta had just a 19-22 road record, which is a massive drop from its home record of 36-7.
Atlanta struggles on the road, especially against the Bucks; 4-18 SU its last 22 at the Bradley Center.
On the other side of the court: The Bucks are a much better team at home than on the road; "I just think playing at home should give us an advantage," said Jerry Stackhouse. "We've been a pretty good home team for most of the season.
"We've just got to come out and play with a lot of energy and a lot of enthusiasm, and you tend to do that at home. You take out a lot of their energy plays and their hustle plays they get from playing at home and having the excitement in their crowd, and it's a closer game.
"We're banking on that same energy giving us some separation. I don't think it's so much about Xs and Os at this point. We know what each team is going to do. It's playing harder and getting that little extra burst, and hopefully we can find that at home."
Salmons and Delfino need to find their touch tonight, and I believe they will; so far the starting wings have miss all 15 of their three point attempts over the first two games
Keep in mind that Milwaukee is in fact 4-2 ATS its last six heading into the Playoffs.
Bottom line: I think the home court advantage is going to be he difference here and I look for the Bucks to finally wake up on offense and quit being so dumbstruck by Josh Smith and Co.; I also expect the Hawks to come out somewhat complacent and cocky, which will of course be their undoing 10* "REVENGE" "BIG EA$Y" BUCKS.

Los Angeles +2
When the Lakers meet the Thunder in Game Four of this opening round playoff series they will take the court knowing Los Angeles is 13-6 ATS as a playoff dog off a SU and ATS loss as a playoff dog, including 4-0 SU and ATS in Game Four. In addition, they are also 6-0-1 ATS as a dog or favorite of three or less points off a SU and ATS in this series. The clincher, though, is the fact that No.1 seeded dogs (or pick) in the NBA playoffs off off one SU and ATS loss exact are 16-2 ATS if they allowed 100 or more points in the loss, including 14-0 ATS if the Over/Under total in the game is 184 or more. Look for L.A. to make amends here tonight. We recommend a 4-unit play on the Lakers.

4 Units LA Lakers +2
Oklahoma City was able to take Game 3 by pulling away from the Lakers late in the game, despite trailing for a good part of the game. Los Angeles is a veteran and well coached team, who will look to make the appropriate adjustments in Game 4. They had a better field goal percentage than the Thunder, but Oklahoma City shot 42% from the 3 point line. In addition, the Lakers were severely outrebounded, which just means there was a lack of effort on the defensive end and in rebounding. Los Angeles felt embarrassed by their effort in the 2nd half, as they were outscored by 12 points, which should never happen against an inexperienced team like Oklahoma City. Phil Jackson is a great coach and will make sure that the mistakes from Game 3 are corrected, especially the lack of effort. Look for Los Angeles to get the road win.
