Nick "BookieKiller" Parsons

8* Providence +5.5

For a number of different reasons I believe the value in this contest is on Providence:

The Cardinals are 9-5-1 ATS their last 15 overall; on the 19th they beat St. John's 88-63 as 7-point favorites.

Louisville is in fact just 2-3 ATS this year after scoring 80-points or more in its previous contest; also just 3-5 ATS when playing against a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS vs. good offensive teams that score 77-plus points per contest.

On the other side of the court: The Friars are 7-8 ATS their last 15 overall; on the 16th they lost 79-72 at USF as 2-point favorites.

Important to note that Providence is 3-2 ATS this year as an underdog; also 5-3 ATS in front of the home town crowd; 1-0 ATS when playing with 5 or 6 days of rest; 5-4 ATS when playing against a team with a winning record and 2-1 ATS vs. good offensive teams that score 77-plus points per contest.

Bottom line: #19 Louisville has been hit by the injury bug and I believe this factor finally catches up to it today; eight players have missed games this season for the Cardinals including F Terrence Jennings and Mike Marra (both Jared Swopshire and Rakeem Buckles could miss time as well)

So Providence will look to take advantage of this situation and plays with "revenge" here as well, having lost 92-70 in these teams last meeting.

The Friars have lost 16-straight league games and will be desperate for a good showing today in front of the home town crowd; "We're not going to be happy with being one of the teams trying to upset Top 20 teams," Friars coach Keno Davis said. "We're trying to get there. I don't have any doubt we will. I have some doubts that we'll get there this year."

The Friars are lead by Marshon Brooks who averages 23.4 points per game, which ranks him second in the Big East.

I expect the home side to sneak in through the back door down the stretch; 8* play on PROVIDENCE!

Marc Lawrence

Arizona +2.5

When the Wildcats meets the Cougars in Pullman in PAC 10 action Saturday night they will take the court with double revenge on their minds from a pair of losses suffered in this series last year. Arizona is 5-0 ATS in this series when they own a win percentage of less than .900 and WSU is playing off back-to-back SU and ATS wins. With the Wildcats off a 17-point loss and the Cougars off a 17-point revenge in, look for Arizona to improve to 16-3 ATS as a PAC 10 dog of three or more points when playing off a loss here tonight.
