The Duke's Sports

Cornell (+4') for 3 Units

Cornell goes into this game with confidence knowing that they dissected one of the top defenses in the nation. Today, they take on another defensive oriented team, which is not as strong defensively and with only a day of preparation. Wisconsin's Bo Ryan is great in terms of preparing his team and managing a game however, this is too much of n uphill battle against the nations #1 3 point team on a neutral floor where the Big Red is 4-1 ATS. Cornell has five perimeter shooters that are nailing 3s at an average of 42%. Wisky is 152nd in the nation defending the perimeter. And Cornell's game isn't all perimeter based for they have a big man in Foote and the versatile Wittman. Furthermore, the Big Red has a solid senior floor leader in Dale who does a great job in controlling the rock. Wisconsin is a mere 0-5 on a neutral floor as a favorite and 1-5 as an NCAA favorite. Big Red the call.

Matt Rivers

100,000♦ MARYLAND

Take Maryland over Michigan State.

The Terps should roll here today.

Maryland has been playing very well recently, while Michigan State is still a hit-and-miss team.

Spartans guard Kalin Lucas is still less than 100 percent due to a nagging ankle injury.

The Terps don’t have any such problems. Greivis Vasquez is an absolute star and he’s getting good production from his supporting cast.

Maryland is on ATS runs of 5-1 overall, 10-2 as a chalk and 5-1-1 against Big Ten teams. Michigan State is on pointspread slides of 1-7 in non-conference action, 1-4 in neutral site games, 0-4 against the ACC and 1-8 against winning teams.

Take Maryland as they get it done over Michigan State.

50,000♦ TEXAS A&M

Take Texas A&M over Purdue.

This is where the Boilers will really miss Robbie Hummel. They’ve been getting by over the last four weeks, but this is where they really need him.

Texas A&M is going to contain JaJaun Johnson in the paint with Bryan Davis, who excels on the defensive end.

Without an advantage inside, the Boilers won’t be able to get many easy baskets and I expect the Aggies to pull away.

Texas A&M is on pointspread surges of 11-2 overall, 21-8 at neutral sites, 7-1 as a favorite, 26-10 when laying less than seven points, 8-2 in the Tournament, 5-1 as a chalk in the Tournament, 9-1 against winning teams and 3-1-1 versus the Big Ten.

Purdue is on ATS slides of 1-6-1 overall, 0-5-1 after a SU win, 5-13-1 after a spread-cover and 1-4-1 against winning teams.

Take Texas A&M as they get it done over Purdue.
