This price is very high for a premium selection, but I feel that it will be a winner regardless. Milwaukee is really hitting the ball well right now, and they scored eight runs last night against Pirate pitching. Pittsburgh’s good start to the season was deceiving and it is showing in this series. The Brewers starter Randy Wolf has dominated the Pirates in his career, and Pittsburgh is only hitting .194 against lefties. Milwaukee’s bullpen is also well rested, while Pittsburgh’s pen has ben used much more in this series. They will likely be called upon again as one of the worst starters in the NL takes the mound tonight in Daniel McCutcheon. He pitched better in his last start, but this will be his last start because of Ross Ohlendorf returning to the rotation. Milwaukee is the much hotter line-up, and they have a vastly better pitcher going today who has dominated Pittsburgh. Look for the Brewers to get a series sweep of the Pirates.

The Rockies are in Washington taking on the Nationals. Livan Hernandez gets the start against Ubaldo Jimenez. These two pitchers both went the distance last outing. Jimenez is coming off a no-hitter, the first one in Rockies history. Hernandez is 2-0 without giving up an earned run yet this season. Hernandez threw just over 100 pitches in his last outing while Jimenez threw close to 140 pitches. I expect that Jimenez will not be nearly as sharp in this outing and the Nationals will come away with victory.
