Craig Trapp

5* Angels / Royals Over 8.5

Two teams that are going to win this games with their offense. KC with their youth can play small ball or long ball if needed. On the other hand LAA are back and offensively better than ever with Wells being added to already dangerous lineup. This one has over all over it as both Hochover and Weaver can give up big innings with control issues at time. Over 5 star play

BIG AL

Los Angeles Lakers

The Mavericks are a perfect example of a "paper tiger." On the surface, with a 52-21 record, Dallas looks like a threat to win the title. And it's won 25 of its last 31 games. But check out who the six losses were against: Denver, Memphis, New Orleans, LA Lakers, Portland and San Antonio. What do those six teams have in common? They are all Western Conference Playoff teams, at the moment. Dallas hasn't defeated a Western Conference Playoff team since way back on January 19th! That doesn't bode well for tonight. And neither does the fact that the Lakers are the best (and hottest) team in the league with 15 wins in their last 16 games. Moreover, the Lakers have a huge scheduling advantage, in that the Mavericks played last night vs. the Clippers, while L.A. has had the previous three days off to rest. Although the Mavericks have won and covered their last three games -- each as a road favorite -- .666 (or better) NBA teams off 3 SU/ATS wins as a road favorite have covered just 20% of the time since 1991 vs. foes off back to back Wins. Take the Lakers in a blowout.

The Duke's Sports

Dallas (+6') for 2 Units

Like the value with a healthy and hungry Mavericks' team that's fighting for that #2 seeding position. And they didn't have to travel far for this one after coming off a win and cover at the Staples Center last night against the Clippers. The Mavericks are a strong 12-5 ATS unrested, including a 7-1 ATS run. Moreover, they've proven to be a dangerous road dog at 18-7-1 ATS. Furthermore, the road team in this series is 10-3-1 ATS. The teams split the season series with each winning a game in Dallas. Marion and Terry have had strong games against the Lakers. And when those two are on their game, that usually gives Nowitzki the looks he needs to keep the Mavericks ultra competitive. The Lakers are just 1-4 ATS as a home favorite and 3-7 ATS off a SU win of over 10 points. And throw in that they're jus 2-4 ATS on 3+ days rest and we'll gladly take the points here.

Bob Balfe

Wichita State -2

Most people don’t realize how good this Wichita State team is. Alabama also should get praise for taking the NIT seriously and not just folding up in the first round because they didn’t make the NCAA Tournament. Alabama did get as far as they did because of home court advantage, however. Bama was perfect at home and less than perfect on the road. Wichita State is a great rode team and has the offense to easily run away with this. Take Wichita State.

Marc Lawrence

Alabama +2

The Tide takes on the Shockers for all the marbles in the title game of the NIT tourney at Madison Square Garden Thursday evening with terrific winning edges in Alabama's favor. For openers No. 1 seeds in the NIT tourney are 10-4 ATS in games off a win-no-cover the last six years, including 6-0 ATS when facing a foe off a win of 12 or more points. In addition, dogs in this tourney off a win-no-cover are 6-2 ATS from the Final Four on out, including 3-0 ATS in the title game. With Alabama 7-1 SU in its eight game against teams out of the Missouri Valley Conference (the loss by one-point) and Wichita 0-2 ATS when dressed up as a favorite in games against SEC opposition, look for the Tide to be climbing the ladder and cutting down the nets tonight. We recommend a 3-unit play on Alabama.
