The Wild comes into tonight winners of six of their last eight games (1.38 goals allowed). They face a Colorado team that has struggled to put the puck in the net as of late with just 1.7 goals per game during a 1-6 slump including back-to-back shutouts. Minnesota should be able to control Colorado and take advantage of their weak defense. The Avs have given up an NHL worst 3.3 goals per game – 4.1 gpg during their recent seven-game debacle. In the long run, defense tends to win out in the NHL which puts us on the home side at a reasonable price.
