Rocketman

3* Quinnipiac +14.5

3* Stony Brook +6.5

Quinnipiac +14.5

In my opinion, Virginia Tech should have made the Big Dance and I'm sure they thought the same thing and are upset about it. A lot of times teams like this will pretty much pack it in for the season and not play at the intensity level in the NIT as they would have in the Big Dance. Hokies are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. Hokies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite. Hokies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. Hokies are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. Hokies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as a home favorite. Hokies are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a home favorite of 13.0 or greater. Hokies are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite of 13.0 or greater. We'll play Quinnipiac for 3 units tonight!

Stony Brook +6.5

Fighting Illini are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 non-conference games. Fighting Illini are 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games as a favorite. Stony Brook is allowing only 63.5 points per game overall this year. Stony Brook is a very strong 12-1 SU at home this year. Illinois probably thought they should have made the Big Dance but not me. My power ratings has Stony Brook winning this game outright by 2.93 points. We'll play Stony Brook for 3 units tonight!

Lenny Del Genio

Utah -15

Minnesota is atrocious. Let's get that out of the way right now. One of several teams in the league just playing out the string, the Twolves have lost ten straight games and failed to cover in their last six. Last night may have been the worst effort yet as they were blitzed by Phoenix 152-114, a season-high allowed in points for sure, in fact it was the most points allowed by ANY NBA team this year and the most points ever allowed in a game in franchise history. Overall, the team has lost 16 of its last 17 games. They are 2-10 ATS this season when on a losing streak of seven games or more. That speaks to the team's effort level or lack their of it. It also speaks to how bad they are as they've played 12 games this season where they came in on a losing streak of seven games or more! This is NOT the spot for them to get back on track at all considering they are playing without rest in Utah, which has been a nightmare spot for visitors all season long. The Jazz are 10-0 ATS this season against unrested visitors when they themselves are coming off at least a day of rest with an average margin of victory coming by an average of 19.8 PPG. Remember those defensive issues we spoke of with Minnesota? Well, Utah is averaging 112 points per game in this spot. Last time in this situation, they blew out the Clippers 107-85. They've scored in triple digits in 9 of the 10 games. The Jazz are 21-10 ATS as a home favorite this year and 13-4 ATS after scoring 110+ points in their previous game. They are coming off a blowout of Washington here at home 112-89. Utah is our 15* Western Conference Game of the Week.

Rhode Island -5

Tough number huh? Well the Rams played horrible in the semis against Temple and damn near managed a win. Their stud was cold from the floor, and that makes the difference. I like their rebounding ability in this one to own the paint, and Northwestern has lost their last 4 road games, and one on a neutral floor to Purdue of all people, and when you lean heavy on 3 point shots, that is doom for a bad road team who is 2-8 SU on the road this year playing a good team at home who is 13-2 SU there. Rhode Island sneaky good, I like them here. Play 1 Unit on Rhode Island.

Nick "BookieKiller" Parsons

8* Calgary / Colorado Under 5.5

For a number of different reasons I believe the value in this contest is on the "under".

Calgary is struggling right now and has just two goals in back-to-back losses; I believe they'll continue to struggle on the offensive end this evening.

Sunday’s 3-1 defeat at Northwest Division-leading Vancouver wasn’t as crucial for the Flames as their 2-1 home loss Monday to Detroit, which has moved three points ahead of Calgary in the standings.

The Flames power play has gone a disturbing 0-for-13 over the last four games.

Keep in mind that the total has gone "under" the posted number in 10 of Calgary's last 14 overall.

On the other side of the rink: Colorado has held Iginla without a point in the teams’ last two meetings, with the Avalanche extending their winning streak over Calgary to six.

Craig Anderson returns to the net after a 1-game hiatus and is 4-0-0 with a 1.96 GAA vs. Calgary this year.

Interesting to point out that Colorado has in fact seen the total go "under" the posted number in 8 of 10 this season after a 3-game unbeaten streak and in 12 of 20 vs. division opponents.

Bottom line: It's important to note that in four of these teams last five games, regardless of location, the total has gone "under" the posted number; when taking all of the above into account the sharp money in this one is indeed on the UNDER!
