Oklahoma City (-10') for 1.5 Units
Oklahoma City was on a 6-0 SU/ATS tear and then inexplicably at home let a pitiful Toronto team, which was a 14 point underdog, off the hook late to end up losing outright. We'll look for that shameful effort to be a motivating factor against an equally bad Utah team -- depleted of a star (D. Williams) and veteran coach (Sloan). The Jazz are quickly fading from the playoff race as players are dropping like flies on the injured list, including PG Devin Harris. Tonight, inconsistent Earl Watson must find out how to distribute the ball through an improving Oklahoma City defense that's allowed just 85 ppg over their last 5 games. The Thunder sport a strong 39-18 ATS mark off a SU loss and control a 5-0 ATS in their last 5 Wednesday games. Utah is a mere 3-7 ATS as a road dog of 5 to 10', and 1-6 ATS on the road against a team with a home winning % above .600. Oklahoma City the call.

2 Units Memphis Grizzlies +6.5
These two squared off in Memphis back on 11/13. Boston shot 57.7% from the field, including 58.3% from 3-point range, yet they still needed OT to beat the Grizzlies. With Memphis clinging to the 8th and final playoff spot in the West, I expect them to bring their A-game tonight. And no, the revenge motivation doesn't hurt either.
Memphis is 10-0 ATS in their last ten trips to Boston. I don't put much stock in that trend as a whole. I mean, that's TEN YEARS worth of data and these teams are MUCH different now than they were a decade ago. I'm more interested in the fact that Memphis beat the Celtics in Boston by TWENTY points a year ago, and dominated the boards (48-29) in the process.
Boston is coming off a pair of second-half rallies on the road. Four days ago, Boston trailed in New Orleans by 11 points at the half, but outscored the Hornets 49-34 in the second half to eke out a 4-point win. Two days ago in New York, Boston trailed the Knicks by 14 points at the half, but outscored New York 59-35 in the second half (33-17 in the 4th quarter) to earn a 10-point win. I would think that the extra effort in those last two second halves should at least catch up with Boston's old bones a little bit tonight.
I love that the Grizzlies are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 road games vs. a team with a home winning percentage of .600 or better. It shows that Memphis "brings it" when playing tough road games. I also like that the Grizzlies are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games as a road dog. Again, it shows that they "bring it" when playing a tough team on the road.
Bottom line: Yes, I know Boston is battling for the #1 seed in the East, but Memphis is fighting to hang on to that last Western playoff spot. The Grizzlies played well in Boston last season and they've been a very solid road dog all of this season. I see no reason why they can't hang with Boston tonight. Take the points with MEMPHIS.

NBA Opinion
MILWAUKEE (-8½) over Sacramento
Milwaukee is a good defensive team that tends to take care of business against bad teams, as bad teams struggle to score against the Bucks while Milwaukee’s sub-par offense is more efficient against bad teams. The Bucks are 27-8-1 ATS under coach Scott Skiles when facing a team with a win percentage of less than .333 (excluding 0-1 teams), including 19-4 ATS since last season. My ratings favor Milwaukee by 9½ points and I’ll lean with the Bucks at -9 points or less.
College Opinion
OREGON (-4½) over Boise State
As I pointed out on Monday, Oregon is an underrated team that improved the second half of the season with Tyron Nared inserted into the starting lineup. My ratings favor Oregon by 6½ points and I’ll lean with the Ducks at -5 or less.
