This game features the 1-3 Reds at the 1-3 Mets. Mets finally won yesterday and it really seems like the Reds are off to a slow start I really feel like the Mets win this today but it's better to take the safety of the plus 1.5 today. Johnny Cueto comes in after a strong outing and the Mets are sending Dillon Gee out there who didn't look good first time out I just think there is something fishy with this line as it seems way off and the Public is all over the Reds here at a rate of 83% yet this line is moving the opposite way we are going super sharp here and taking the +1.5 as the Mets keep it close throughout and sneak out a win and or cover.

Kentucky will play an inside game and dictate tempo I assume, and their long reach should disrupt Wisconsin's outside game. Both teams defenses are good, allowing less than 65 on KU's side and Wiskeys defense is allowing 62, both their last 5 game averages. I expect them tight early and unless Wisconsin goes nuts from 3 point range, which I do not see, this should be a solid under play.

Each of these starters enters with strong history against their opponent. In 6 starts against Atlanta, Strausburg has a 2.57 ERA. The last 2 times Teheran faced Washington he allowed just 1 run in 12 innings. While Teheran continued that excellence in his first start of the season, allowing 2 runs in 6 IP. Such was not the same for Strausburg. In his first outing, Strausburg allowed 5 hits and 4 runs for a 6.00 ERA. Last night's 2-1 Atlanta victory could not be considered a surprise. It extended the Braves series dominance of Washington to 18-6 including 9-2 at this site. With all factors considered, there is clear value in huge underdog price with Atlanta.

Kentucky on a nice run but I think it ends here. In this game we'll see the athleticism and talent of the Wildcats vs the discipline and experience of the Badgers. Wisconsin is extremely well coached, can defend in the half-court, and have offensive balance. Best case scenario for Kentucky is to turn this into an open floor game and I believe that Badger HC Ryan is too smart to allow that to happen. This is not Wisconsin's most talented team but they should not be taking from this edition of the Wildcats.

This play features the Braves at the Nationals. Vegas really knows how to bait the public. They know people love to bet on Stephen Strasburg when really he hasn't done that great lately and is really overvalued here. Julio Teheran is really a quality young pitcher and the Braves are just a better team then the Nats and catching plus money is something I want my clients in on. Braves are 4-1 in his last 5 starts. Braves are also 9-2 last 11 at the Braves and with the public on Washington Im fading them here.

Charlotte has been playing incredibly average ball lately, nothing surprises me with this bunch. They D up on the ball well enough to make it a tough game for anybody they play. Cleveland comes in playing slightly better actually, but they have been really struggling with keeping teams from getting open looks. And with the injuries they are dealing with, this is going to be that much tougher. Kemba Walker and his speed is very good finding his players in step, and makes the game change completely. Close tight game throughout.

San Francisco Giants -116

The Giants get the nod as Saturday's free play. They are a nice price at -116 considering they'll have better stuff on the mound with Bumgarner, who is 8-3 with an ERA of 2.61 and a WHIP of 0.954 in 11 starts against the Dodgers. The Giants have won 6 of the last 7 meetings, including 4 straight in LA, and they are 35-16 in Bumgarner's last 51 starts against division foes. Maholm is 2-3 with an ERA of 4.07 in 10 starts against the Giants. He's lost his last two starts against them while giving up 10 earned runs in 9 2/3 innings. Take San Francisco.

Toronto Raptors vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Play: Toronto Raptors -7

The Raptors have won five of six and are off a big home win over the free-falling Pacers last night, a game that was tied after three quarters. Toronto is three games clear of the Nets for the four hole and home court in that playoff series which looks inevitable. That said, don't think Toronto will rest on it's laurels here against a team they should and need to beat. The Barney's are 0-2 against the Bucks this year losing by 7 and 22 an you would think they would look to spank a team that has lost 12 of 13 here. Toronto is 24-13 ATS on the road and 26-11 vs the points against sub .500s. If you were ever gonna back a medium road fave, this would look to be the time to do it. Toronto by 14.

Padres/Marlins Under 6½

Sure, this is a low total, but it hasn't been set low enough tonight. I look for an absolute pitcher's duel between Jose Fernandez of the Miami Marlins and Andrew Cashner of the San Diego Padres in game 2 of this series Saturday.

Fernandez is the right-handed Clayton Kershaw of baseball. He is the next big thing, and he's still somehow under the radar. He went 12-6 with a 2.19 ERA and 0.979 WHIP with 187 strikeouts in 172 2/3 innings as a rookie in 2013.

Andrew Cashner doesn't get much attention because he's in San Diego, but if you look at last year's numbers, it's easy to see that this guy has a bright future, too. Cashner went 10-9 with a 3.09 ERA and 1.131 WHIP over 175 innings with the Padres in 2013.

Both Cashner and Fernandez allowed one run over six innings in their first start of the season. Both should have success against two of the worse lineups in baseball. The Padres are only scoring 2.0 runs per game to this point. While the Marlins have started hot at the plate, it won't last as this is still a poor lineup from top to bottom.

The UNDER is 9-1 in Padres last 10 games as an underdog of +110 to +150. The UNDER is 10-3-1 in Padres last 14 after scoring 2 runs or less in their previous game. The UNDER is 22-9-1 in Padres last 32 games overall. The UNDER is 7-1 in Cashner's last eight starts.

The UNDER is 5-0-1 in Marlins last six after allowing 2 runs or less in their previous game. The UNDER is 6-1-1 in Marlins last eight home games vs. a right-handed starter. The UNDER is 5-0 in Fernandez' last five starts vs. a team with a losing record. Bet the UNDER in this game Saturday.

Your free play of the day is on the Washington Wizards over the Chicago Bulls as they look to make it back to back wins over Eastern Conference foes.

They looked very good, defensively, in last night's win over the Knicks... in Madison Square Garden. That win allowed them to keep pace with the Nets in the playoff race of the Eastern Conference. The Nets beat the Pistons last night by 12 to remain 1 1/2 games ahead of Washington, so each game for these teams is crucial.

The Wizards clearly didn't play their best game Friday but still found a way to earn a really important road win against a Knicks team that has been playing better at home and playing a lot better defense. Every night it seems like someone different is stepping up for Washington and last night it was Bradley Beal. It's likely to be someone different tonight.

While these two teams are very similar in a lot of ways, the Wizards are a little better at home than they are on the road and I just don't trust the Bulls away from the United Center.

Washington has won the last two and four of the last five vs. Chicago, including a 14-point win at Chicago back in January. The Wizards are not only trying to improve their playoff positioning, they're trying to enter the post-season on a high note. A win against a team sitting higher than them in the East would be a solid start.

Take Washington as your free play of the day.

My free play for today is going to be in Major League Baseball, as I like the Colorado Rockies over the Arizona Diamondbacks, in their second game of a three-game set at Coors Field. The Rox are laying a cheap number to the Snakes, and make note, I don't want you to list the pitchers in this game.

Why the Rockies will get it done - Colorado started things out in this series impressively, delighting a sell-out Friday night crowd with a 12-2 victory over Arizona. That momentum will carry over to tonight's game, while hoping to even the team's record at 3-3 and stay close to division frontrunners San Francisco and Los Angeles, who are meeting in L.A.

Why the Diamondbacks will struggle - Arizona can't seem to find a groove right now, having lost three straight and six of its last seven. And the problem isn't with getting people on base, as the Snakes lead the lead with 60 hits, they just can't seem to manufacture enough runs that are translating into victories.

In conclusion, why COLORADO is my SMART PLAY in this game - Look for a lot of lift on the ball today, as the Rockies are going to take advantage of a Diamondbacks pitching staff that ranks third-worst in the league with a 6.24 ERA In seven games, the Snakes have allowed 43 earned runs over 62 innings of work. And in Denver's thin air, that's not going to bode well against the league's No. 2 hitting team.

The Rockies are hitting .303 in just five games thus far, and rank fourth in the bigs with 27 runs scored. Their .449 slugging percentage is seventh in the majors, and tonight against this Arizona staff, I wouldn't be surprised to see that number jump into the 500s. Play the Rockies for your free play.

My free play for Saturday is the Under in the Fresno State-Siena game.

Just like the series opener in the CBI Championship series, I see this one being a defensive game, as the Siena Saints have now seen what Fresno State is all about, and must do everything they can on defense to stop the Bulldogs.

Both of these teams have seen their share of high-scoring games this season - including Game 2 - but make no bones about it, these are teams that have gotten this far because of their work on the defensive end in this tournament.

Siena is in the CBI championship series after defeating Stony Brook, Penn State and Illinois State while holding those three teams to an average of 52 points per game. And the Saints got better each game, giving up 55, 52 and then 49 points. The Saints looked best in the CBI semifinals against the Illinois State Redbirds, holding them to 30 percent from the field. Then, in the opening game of the championship series, the Saints limited Fresno State to just 57 points on its own court - something no other team had done all season. Fresno had never been held to less than 60 on its own court this season. The Bulldogs erupted for a slew of points in the Game 2 win, and now the Saints have to clamp down.

With the Bulldogs, they're in the championship series after victories over UTEP, Princeton and Old Dominion, holding those teams to an average of 58.6 points per game. Other than giving up 82 to San Diego State on March 1 and then 93 to New Mexico on March 13 - the two Mountain West teams to make it to the Big Dance - Fresno State hasn't allowed more than 64 points to a team this month. That continued in the opening game of this series, albeit a losing effort, as they held Siena to 61 points.

Siena has stayed low in nine of 10 games, while the Bulldogs have stayed under in five of their last eight games. Both these teams know how important it is to finish this series by getting defensive.

Looks to me like the Giants are feeling an April "bloom", as San Fran's Over on Friday afternoon at Chavez Ravine means San Francisco is now 3-1 Over the total this new season, and they have been making plenty of noise at the plate with at least 8 runs scored in each of their last pair of games.

I will look for another Over on Saturday afternoon when Madison Bumgarner opposes Paul Maholm. Bumgarner is making his second start, and does have 4 scoreless innings pitched under his belt against Arizona, but I will be curious to see how much deeper he can go this time around against the Dodgers big sticks.

Paul Maholm turned in some solid work last year for the Braves, and will make his first start in Dodger blue today. He did pitch to one batter when the Dodgers played their two game set in Australia, but this stint will be a tad different.

With the Giants both scoring runs and allowing runs, I will play the Over in Saturday's N.L. West meeting between San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Two premium arms and sub-par offenses has us looking at the under in tonight's San Diego-Miami matchup. Both Andrew Cashner and Jose Fernandez looked sharp is their respective season debuts. Cashner allowed just four hits and a run vs. the Dodgers while Fernandez cruised past Colorado with nine punch outs and one run in six innings. The Padres offense hasn't exactly hit the ground running with 2, 1, 2, and 3 run efforts its first four games – and that includes games against middle-tier starters Dan Haren and Tom Koehler. The Marlins meanwhile have had success at the plate (7 runs per game) but the level of competition steps way up tonight after facing Erin Stults, Franklin Morales, and Jordan Lyles the last three nights. We know Fernandez is special but Cashner isn't far behind and in my opinion is sitting on a big season. Low total at 6.5 but one still worth playing under.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Philadelphia 76ers
Play: Brooklyn Nets -10.5

With time running out in their quest to secure the Atlantic Division title - and with it, home-court advantage in at least the opening round of the Eastern Conference playoffs - the Brooklyn Nets face nothing but must-win games the rest of the way. To that end, they couldn't have asked for a better opponent Saturday as they visit the woeful Philadelphia 76ers. Brooklyn enters the weekend 2 1/2 games behind Toronto with just seven games remaining. Brooklyn has won six of the last eight meetings, and leads the season series 2-1.
