Not many expected Wichita State to reach the Final Four (ourselves included), but their run ends here tonight against top-seeded Louisville and we look for the Cardinals to win this one by a landslide. The Shockers held on for dear life down the stretch against Ohio State, as their 20-point lead nearly completely disappeared before the final buzzer sounded. The Buckeyes made that run by driving to the paint and crashing the boards - something Louisville does non-stop and we love that offensive matchup. Cardinals were looking like the best team in the country prior to this tournament, and have practically dominated every game from the opening tip. The freak broken leg injury last Sunday should only serve to motivate this team more and a veteran head coach means this team will not take the Shockers lightly. Great job by Wichita State to make it this far, but they are on the wrong side of a huge skill mismatch and they fall by double-digits.

The Shockers are not here by accident, they took down the likes of Gonzaga and Ohio State, both games they dominated and they also defeated a good Pitt team in a tough first round draw. The Shockers are BETTER in these categories, 3 Point Shooting, Rebounding, Free Throws.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Both teams play good defense and they are both cvapable of running the flloor with excellent guard play. No one is here in the Final 4 because they are not good, any team can win this thing gents, and Louisville with the distraction of Kevin Ware and all the hype surrounding them, as the best team left standing, which they are, will find the sledding tough in this one. The Shockers are 4-0 ATS in this tourney and are 9-1 SU on neutral floor games their last 10! This is too many points, the VALUE is in the number.

When the Spurs host the Hawks Saturday night in this non-conference contest in San Antonio they will take the floor knowing they are 23-4 SU and 21-6 ATS in this series, including 14-0 SU and 13-1 ATS the last 14 games on this floor. With the Hawks flying in off a home game last night, and the Spurs a sparkling 5-0 SUATS in non-conference clashes this season when playing off a loss, there is only one way to look here tonight. We recommend a 1-unit play on San Antonio.

The Spurs took it on the chin last time out losing as OKC pounded them by a 100-88 count. Alot of pundits began to say the old Spurs had run out of gas, and needed a geratric ward! Believe me when I say, that this in itself will motivate the Spurs to bounce back tonight vs a Atlanta side, that is struggling and over rated! I know Parker and Ginabolli are down with injuries, but Im expecting talented youngsters like Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green and Tiago Splitter to step up and show us the Spurs future energy. San Antonio has an NBA-best 15-3 record following a loss. The Spurs have won eight of their last nine home games and are 33-5 at AT&T Center and have beaten the Hawks 14 straight times here in this venue. Favorite is 6-0 ATS in the last 6 meetings.Favorite is 6-0 ATS in the last 6 meetings.Hawks are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

The Pacers had an opportunity to clinch the Central Division crown last night but a failed fourth quarter where the scored only eight points lead them to defeat again st Oklahoma City. Washington who has won eight straight at home are 0-3 against Indiana this season as the Pacers have won the last nine meetings. John Wall missed all three losses and the Pacers will find that the Wizards are a totally different club when Wall in in the line-up. In a game that will come down to the final buzzer we will take the points.

The Mets are off a pair of home losses the past few days. However they should bounce back here nicely with Niese. The Newly appointed ace followed up his 21 innings 2 run spring training with a solid Opening day win over San Diego. Today he will oppose the Marlins. Last year he won 2 of 3 here vs Miami including an April win over today's Marlins starter Ricky Nolasco. In his starts vs the Mets Nolasco has lost his last 5 and has a 5 era against them of late. In his last 43 innings vs the Mets he has allowed 21 earned runs. Miami has lost 14 of 20 as a dog in this range And 9 of the last 12 here. Look for the Mets to bounce back in this matinee affair.

Jim Feist

Toronto at Milwaukee
Pick: Over

Toronto is on a 7-2 run over the total and is short on defense and rebounding, 28th in rebounds, 18th in points allowed giving up 99.2 ppg. The over is 5-1 in the Raptors last 6 road games. Milwaukee will attack them with their strong backcourt and an offense that is 12th in the NBA in scoring, though 21st in points allowed surrendering 100.5 ppg. The over is 4-1 in the Bucks last 5 home games and 7-2-1 over the total in the Bucks last 10 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. And when these teams meet the over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings. Play the Raptors/Bucks over the total.

The Cardinals have the best players in the country, the best backcourt and there is no doubt they have the best starting 5 out of the four remaining schools. With Ware being out of this game they are starting to get thin with depth and experience outside of their starters. Siva gets himself into foul trouble and finds himself sitting on the bench. That will not be good for the Cardinals if this happens today. I think the Shockers could shock the world and get into the finals, but in the end Louisville probably move on. This should be a great game and closer than Vegas thinks. Take Wichita State

Michigan has played great this year and really should have been finished off by Kansas in a game they were dominated in for 37 minutes. Give coach Boeheim a week to prepare for this game and I think Cuse clearly has the edge. This Michigan team is young and I think the Orange will bully their way to the win with superior size and muscle. This will be another great game, but I think in the end Syracuse will move on to play Louisville for all the marbles on Monday Night. Take Syracuse.

I saw a focused and powerful Reds team that has players up and down their lineup that can send the ball out of the ball park. The bottom of their lineup is producing very well this year. When you get that kind of production at home its tough for opponents to win. Look for the Reds to get another big win today. Take Cincinnati.

This is a rematch of last years NLCS won by the Giants who then went on to win the World Series. Friday Night these two teams played a great game with the Giants edging the Cardinals in a pitchers duel 1-0 behind Barry Zito. St. Louis is now 1-3 and San Francisco is 3-1, but San Francisco has scored just 9 total runs while St. Louis has scored 17. Look for that potent Cardinal offense to explode on Saturday led by Matt Holliday as they get to Vogelsong. Play St. Louis

Detroit Pistons vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
Play: Minnesota Timberwolves

Both teams struggle putting the ball in the hoop at times, in particular Minnesota, who are hitting only 43.9% of their shots on the season, with only 2 players shooting well, is going to be tricky. Neither team handles the ball exceptionally well, but Minnesota, at home with Ricky Rubio, bringing the rock up court, I trust him more than the turnover prone PG Brandon Knight for Detroit. Both teams allow some decent looks at the rim, so the opportunity to get good looks will be there. Playing physical can jolt a team and their confidence, and I think that Wolves will play physical enough to keep the Pistons at bay. I think the W-Wolves are the better team here and win by double digits.

The Astros continue their series with the Athletics on Saturday and they’ll turn to Bud Norris for his second start of the season. Norris allowed 2 runs and five hits in less than six innings pitched on opening night. Before this season, Norris held hitters to a combined .223 average in 42 starts at home. Chris Young (0-8), John Jaso (1-4) and Brandon Moss (0-3) have had their problems with the Houston starter. Bartolo Colon is making his first Major League start since August 18th which was four days before he received a 50-game suspension for testing positive for testosterone. Colon had a rough Spring giving up 17 runs and 31 hits in 20 innings of work. Who knows how long he'll be able to last in this game so he'll give way to the A's bullpen. The unit has been good, but they may have to cover multiple innings. There won’t be many times when there’s value with the Astros, but there is in this game so we recommend playing Houston on the run line on Saturday night.

FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
These teams have played three times this year: Boston won 2-1 in Montreal on February 6th. Montreal then won 4-3 in Boston on March 3rd, and 6-5 on March 27th. The Bruins are 24-8-4 this year, including 11-6-2 on the road. They're coming off a hard-fought 1-0 win over New Jersey on Thursday. Montreal is 24-8-5, including 12-4-3 at home, and is coming off a relatively easy 4-1 win over Winnipeg on Thursday. It's the final meeting of the year between these Northeast Division rivals, and Boston sits just a single game back of the Habs for the division lead. Both teams come in rested. Both teams come in with plenty of momentum. Divisional battles are always the toughest, and that's doubly so at this time of year. This game will definitely have a "playoff" atmosphere. If this was in fact a playoff game, Montreal would be favored by much more than the current line. Fantastic value, as home ice advantage at the Bell Centre is a legitimate factor at this time of year. Consider a second look at the home side in this one.

FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Not much comparison in the offensive outputs of these two thus far. For San Diego, the bats have been mostly dormant, reflected in just one homer and a very poor 6 for 35 with runners in scoring position. For Colorado, just the opposite, as the Rocks are scoring 6 runs pg, batting .327 as a team, and have already clubbed ten homers! Among their hot hitters are SS Troy Tulowitzki, with three homers already, and C Wilin Rosario, who has six hits in his last 12 at bats. Colorado is excited about the chance to see recently-signed starter Jon Garland, who was effective this spring with Seattle (2.25 ERA in March for the Mariners before moving to Colorado), while the Padres are gambling with young Tyson Ross, picked up in the offseason from Oakland, where he really struggled last season (2-9 with 6.45 ERA).

Much has been made about this Syracuse defense in the tournament and for good reason. But they haven't faced any point guards who can penetrate and dish. Michigan has by far the best guard tandem the Orangemen have faced and they have they ability to provide their teammates with open looks from the perimeter. Michigan shoots the ball well from 3 point range and while we doubt they will have much success in the open floor we are convinced the Wolverines are going to put points on the board. Much has been made about the lack of success Beilein has had against Syracuse with an 0-9 record. While true he has never had the better athletes.
