JR O'Donnell

California -1.5

Jr O's Golden Saturday Road Warrior goes to the Bears today as the 15-13 8-8 Pac 10 Bears match-up extremely well with the Oregon State Beavers (10-16, 5-10 Pac 10) @ Corvallis. . We have rolled 2 nice members winners as Ore State & Dartmouth hang up 2 W's. This line seems fishy , but we are true to our #'s as the power ratings check in here @ Cal Bears - 10... The Bears are lead by 2 solid guards in Gutieriez and Smith & a big man Sanders-Frison that just does not miss.. how about 60% from the field & another huge key is the return of freshman guard Allen Crabbe. a flat out player!!

The Beavers just don't shoot well enough to keep up with the Bears... 42% from the field , that ranks at 257th in the nation...yukkkkkkkkkkk. The sharp side here is these "Confident Bears" #'s check in @ 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 games as a road favorite & these Beavers are a terrible 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdogs.

Larry Ness

Duke @ Virginia Tech
Pick: Virginia Tech +4

Duke is back at No. 1 and the Blue Devils are also hoping that the MOP of last year’s Final 4, Kyle Singler (17.2-6.3), is also beginning to find his shooting touch. Singler averaged just 11.0 PPG on 32.8 percent shooting over the team’s five games from Feb 5-20 but scored 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting in a 78-61 win over No. 24 Temple on Wednesday. Can the Blue Devils repeat without freshman PG Kyrie Irving (17.4-3.8-5.1)? Nolan Smith (21.4-4.9-5.3) has stepped up “big time” in his absence but it will be a tough road for the Blue Devils without Irving. However, Duke has no worries regarding making the NCAA tourney, something which its opponent tonight can’t share. Va Tech has suffered numerous snubs by the committee over the past few seasons and at 18-8 overall (8-5 in the ACC), the Hokies realize a win over Duke could ‘punch’ their ticket. However, Duke has won 14 of the last 16 in this series, including the last three in Blacksburg. Still, one can’t help but note that the Hokies are 10-2 SU at home this season (both losses by three points, one in OT to Purdue) and will take a nine-game home winning streak in to this contest. PG Delaney (19.0-3.3-4.2) is capable of matching up with Smith and Va Tech’s 6-7 senior Jeff Allen (13.9-10.3) could easily view this as “the most important game of his career” for the Hokies. Virginia Tech is 3-7 all-time playing against the nation’s No. 1-ranked team but has won TWO of its three games against the No. 1 team here at Cassell Coliseum. I say make it THREE of four after tonight. Another change is coming at the top of the polls after the Hokies win tonight.

Frank Jordan

Florida vs. Kentucky
Play: Florida +8.5

Florida is the number 13 team in the land with a 22-5 overall record and 11-2 in the SEC as they travel to Kentucky. Kentucky is making a splash again this year with a 19-8 record overall and 7-6 in SEC play which is good enough for 22nd best in the country. Three and a half weeks ago Florida won at home 70-68. In this one look for another close game as Florida gets their 8th win on the road in their 9th game. Play Florida

Charlie Scott

Colorado State vs. Air Force
Play: Colorado State -3.5

After suffering back to back S/U losses to UNLV and BYU, an underrated but talented Colorado St team must win today to maintain NCAA Tournament hopes. The good news is Colorado St wins the games they are supposed to win. Colorado St is 4-1 S/U & ATS in their last 5 Mountain West road games, while Air Force is 1-4 ATS & S/U in their last 5 Home games.

Wunderdog Sports

Rhode Island vs. Fordham
Play: Rhode Island -9.5

The Fordham Rams have simply been non-competitve in the Atlantic-10 for threeyears running. Fordham is 0-13 this year in conference play with 10 of the 13 losses by 10 or more, putting Rhode Island on the valued side of this one. Rhode Island took the first one by 20 points, and I don't think this one is much different as Fordham is 0-6 ATS as a home dog in their last 6. Rhode Island gets the call.

SEAN MURPHY

Northern Iowa @ Creighton
PICK: Creighton -5

We've successfully faded Northern Iowa on more than one occasion down the stretch, most recently cashing a ticket against them with Indiana State on Tuesday - a game the Sycamores won outright as a six-point underdog.

This looks like another fine spot to line up against the Panthers as they close out the regular season with a tough road game at Creighton. The Blue Jays will be out to avenge an earlier 71-66 road loss to UNI on January 26th. Keep in mind, the Panthers have gone 3-5 SU and 2-6 ATS since posting that victory.

Northern Iowa has absolutely come unglued here in February, going 1-6 ATS while allowing at least 70 points in all but one of those seven contests. The Panthers have quite simply been a different team since losing their glue-guy, Lucas O'Rear to a season-ending ankle injury on February 2nd.

Note that over their last five contests, the Panthers have shot just under 40% from the field, while allowing the opposition to shoot better than 51%. They've been outrebounded by an average margin of six boards per game.

To make matters worse, UNI has to regroup after dropping its home finale earlier this week. They're still 10-7 in Missouri Valley play, so there's no real sense of urgency heading into the conference tourney next week.

Creighton is coming off back-to-back losses, but both of those setbacks came on the road, both in the role of underdog. The Blue Jays actually check into today's game riding a 3-1 ATS run.

There's no shame in a two-point loss suffered at Wichita State earlier this week. The Blue Jays shot an impressive 53.3% in that loss, but clutch shooting from the Shockers proved to be the difference.

Now we get Creighton playing its home finale. Note that the Jays are 6-2 SU and 5-3 ATS on this floor this season. Their only two losses came at the hands of the conference's two best teams, Wichita State and Missouri State. Their last loss here at home came way back on January 12th.

Unlike Northern Iowa, Creighton comes into this game shooting exceptionally well - better than 48% over its last five contests. Not only that, but the Blue Jays have outrebounded their last five opponents by an average margin of over six boards per game.

This is a different Northern Iowa squad than the one that swept the season series a year ago. The Panthers have been an overvalued bunch for much of the season, as evidenced by their 11-15 ATS mark, and that's once again the case today. Take Creighton.

OC DOOLEY

Kentucky -8

Not only is visiting Florida on a current 9-1 tear, for the first time in four years they control their destiny in an effort to win the Southeastern Conference regular season title. Despite all of their prosperity the Gators have yet to defeat a nationally-ranked opponent on the road which is one of the reasons why they have been cast as a prohibitive underdog late this afternoon as the ODDSMAKERS have actually helped make this handicapping call. All season Florida has had a knack for winning close games with 3 conference victories that extended into overtime, along with a dazzling 6-1 mark in league play in games decided by “6 or less” points. The problem if you are a Gators fan is that today’s line is “outside” of the 6-point window as Kentucky has an undefeated mark (13-0) in front of their HOME fans where the offense has lit up the scoreboard to the tune of 83 points per contest. According to Kentucky head coach John Calipari his young team continues to get out-hustled by the opposition including Florida who pulled out a 70-68 home squeaker earlier this month against the Wildcats. In the entire coaching reign of Calipari his teams have made bettors a fortune (10-2 ATS) when revenging a loss against an opponent where his squad was cast as a road favorite. Kentucky long term is a profitable 16-4 ATS after failing to cover the spread six times in an 8-game span
