The Charlotte Bobcats have set the sport back to the days of Dr. James Naismith and his peach baskets. That being said, they did defeat Boston by a stunning 26-point margin earlier in the week, meaning it will be an angry and revenge minded Celtics team they are running into for tonight's rematch and I feel the home team can basically "name the score" in this one.....
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
The Bobcats have lost 11 of 12 overall and last night saw them again fail to win back to back games, something that has not happened since pre-Thanksgiving! They are shooting just 38.8% from the floor this month! Despite routinely catching a lot of points, Charlotte is just 6-17 ATS when taking double digits this season. They are also 4-12 ATS playing on back to back days. Last night saw them fall by 14 in Toronto.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
When these teams met on Tuesday, Boston coach Doc Rivers decided to rest Paul Pierce. The C's were scheduled to play the following night in Toronto, and Rivers probably figured his team would have no trouble with the lowly Bobcats. He was wrong. I expect Boston to take this game far more seriously as a result. They did come back to blow out the Raptors Wednesday by 24 here at home, their 10th straight win here. Charlotte's is just 2-16 SU its last 18 road games with both wins coming over Orlando. They have lost six in a row away from home by an average of 22.6 points per game. With Boston 19-9 ATS at home playing with revenge, and embarrassed over what happened earlier in the week without Pierce, look for the Pierce-led Celtics to win big here.

The Pacers were upset at home by the Lakers last night, and things don't figure to get any easier for them as they head out on the road where they are just 14-17 on the season. Not only will this be Indiana's second game in as many nights, it will be its third game in four days. The 76ers have had two days off so they will have the fresher legs. It's been a disappointing season for Philadelphia, largely because it hasn't been able to get Andrew Bynum on the court. Still, the 76ers have been competitive at home where they are 18-17. They have been playing well recently and have covered the spread in three of their last four games as a result. Two of those covers came against the Miami Heat, who they played to a four-point game Wednesday. The 76ers should be lacking no confidence here following that performance. They should be lacking no motivation either because they were held to just 69 points in a blowout loss the last time Indiana visited (02/06/2013). The 76ers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games when playing on 2 days' rest. They are also 18-7 ATS in home games off a home loss over the last 3 seasons and 17-5 ATS after having lost 8 or more of their last 10 games over the last 3 seasons. The Pacers are a soft 3-8 ATS in their last 11 road games versus teams that carry a winning mark at home. Take the points.

FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
The Cavaliers offense is struggling due to some key injuries. You should play the under when the home team has a winning record on the season and the total is set between 199.5 to 209.5 points after they have gone under the total by 24 points or more in their last three games. This system is 80-42 (65.6%) over the last five seasons.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Cleveland has gone under the total in 4 of their last 5 games following an ATS loss and the under is 5-2 in their last 7 games overall. It is a similar story for San Antonio. The Spurs are 5-1 to the under in their last 6 games and 4-1 to the under in their last 5 home games. The Cavaliers offense has seen their share of struggles when playing on the road and with the Spurs allowing only 93.1 points per game on their home court this game should stay well under the posted total.

No one has dominated the UFC scene as efficiently as Champion St. Pierre has over the past 5 + years. In winning 10 consecutive bouts, he has been almost flawless in winning almost every single round fought. He has continually faced the very best welterweights in the world and has established himself as one of the greatest fighters in the sport. He imposes his will on his opponents with athleticism and expertise that is unmatched in MMA today. Challenger Diaz is coming off of not only a loss, but a 1-year suspension, so ring rustis a concern. GSP will be too strong in this matchup as he once again will dictate the pace and type of fight to be fought. He will come relentlessly after Diaz who is not known for his wrestling and will be hard-pressed to defend St. Pierres takedowns. The normally cool and collected Champion has stated publically his disdain for the un-professional antics of Diaz and has vowed to teach him a lesson.

The Boston Bruins have been steady all season long, and it has led to an 18-4-3 mark as we turn the corner towards the second half of the lockout-shortened NHL season. The Bruins have been tough around the net, limiting opponents to 2 goals or less in 17 of their 25 games, or almost 70% of all games played. The Capitals have had nothing going in their last four games where they have been limited to 6 total goals at 1.5 per contest. They will have to get it done on the defenisve end to stay in touch here. The Caps are now 16-6-4 to the UNDER on the road vs. a team that has a home winning percentage over .600. Boston has played six of their last seven vs. a losing team to the UNDER. Expect a low-scoring game here, and play on the UNDER.

There is no doubt Indiana has better players than Wisconsin yet the Badgers continue to dominate this team over the last 3 seasons. Wisconsin is a tough physical team that plays great defense and really test teams heart. Indiana just like most other teams this year have proven they don’t have much heart. This is a year a team like Wisconsin can make a deep run into the tournament just based on every player in their lineup being more competitive then the guys on the other team. This spread is too high. Take Wisconsin.

Again, much like Syracuse the coaching aspect of handicapping the game means a lot. In close games when the going gets tough its usually the team with the experienced coaching staff that pulls out the wins. This is going to be the best game of the day and I would not doubt if it comes down to the final minute. In that final minute its always amazing that the calls always go the way of the more popular team or the team with the better coach. Not taking anything away from Thad Matta, but Tom Izzo is a legend. Take Michigan State.

The key to this game will be rebounding. The Jayhawks are a much better rebounding team which means second chance points and limiting second chance opportunities for Kstate. Kansas proved they were the much better team this year and have been battle tested this year. This team is good enough to make a huge run and have learned from their mistakes this year. Take Kansas.

This Orange team reminds me of Uconn two years ago. They are hitting their stride at the right time. Louisville is a great basketball and I think the best in the BIG East, but as we have seen this tournament the craziest of things can and will happen. Syracuse has one of the best coaches in college basketball history and that goes a long way in these tournament games. Take Syracuse.

The Pacers were beat by a hobbled Lakers team at home and then had to jump on a plane to face a Sixers team that is not very good this year, but has been making decent strides as of late and really can build on how well they played Miami a few nights ago. This should be a good one. I like the points with Philly. Take the Sixers.

FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
The Jazz were absolutely embarrassed by the Thunder the last time they took the court on Wednesday 110-87. That's good news for us today as Utah is the best team in the NBA against the spread off a double digit loss this year going 8-2 ATS in that situation. This is also a very important game for Utah. The Lakers winning last night dropped the Jazz one game behind Los Angeles for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Jazz are also 26-7 at home against the Grizzlies and with a win here almost surely covering the slim pointspread lets back Utah to bounce back strong again tonight.

Alabama +13 over Florida: Just 1 of the last 10 meetings between these teams have been decided by more than 12 points, including both games this year. This really should be a low scoring game as both teams play excellent defense and that should mean a close game. The Bama defense is tough this year as they come in allowing just 59.3 ppg on 40.9% shooting for the year and they are off a game, in which they held a Tennessee squad that had been scoring a bunch, to just 48 points. Florida is off a huge 22 point over LSU, but the Tiger defense is not even close to that of the Tides, plus we note that Florida has not played well away from home of late losing their last 3 games SU & ATS when out on the road. Alabama is clearly on the bubble for a bit in the NCAA Tourney and that should give them plenty of motivation to at least keep this one. Im not sure Alabama can win outright, but behind their staunch defense and heavy motivation they should have enough to keep this one close.

NC State +3 over Miami: I had the Canes yesterday and I will be the first o say that I got lucky on that one. They did not play well at all and were actually tied with BC with about 6 minutes to go in the game. I felt that the rest would have helped Miami coming into that game, but it really didn't as hey played pretty much like they did down the stretch of the regular season. Miami did limp into the post season, going just 2-3 down the stretch, which included a home loss to Georgia Tech and a blowout road loss to Wake Forest. this is not a team that has been playing all that well, and being tied with NC State with about 6 minutes to go in the game would be a hole lot different than facing BC in that same situation. State is a much better squad that the Eagles and they are also more experienced, which means they will know how to close out the game. NC State is off a couple of blowout wins in the ACC tourney and they have won 8 of their last 10 overall so they are playing much better than Miami right now and they also have revenge on their minds for a last second loss to the Canes during the regular season. Look for NC State to move on to the ACC Finals.

Ohio - over Akron

Akron squeaked by rival Kent State last night, winning by three despite a massive advantage in shooting percentage and free throw attempts. That was a game that avenged a loss in the regular season finale and while everything is at stake today this is a Zips team is disarray since the arrest and suspension of point guard Alex Abreu. 17 turnovers last night nearly cost Akron the game and this has not resembled the team that once had a 19-game winning streak. Akron won at Ohio in the last meeting between these teams with an 88-81 overtime win. Akron shot 51 percent in that game and had 31 free throw attempts with Abreu having a big game with 16 points and nine assists. While Ohio perhaps underachieved a bit in the regular season this is a squad that is tournament tested with a Sweet 16 run in the NCAA Tournament last season. Ohio has won four straight games since the loss to Akron and the Bobcats are a very efficient offensive team, shooting over 47 percent on the season. With losses in both match-ups this season this is a game Ohio will be ready for and the Bobcats came out on top when these teams met in the conference tournament last season. The loss of Abreu can not be understated and given the taxing situation with back-to-back games and the magnitude of this championship game, Akron cant be trusted without its top playmaker.

Massachusetts vs. VCU
Play: Massachusetts

I'm of the belief that teams facing VCU for a second time are going to perform better. The element of surprise with the "Havoc" isn't as strong and an entire game of film can be dissected. When UMass traveled to VCU earlier this season the inevitable occurred – the Minutemen turned the ball over 24 times and lost by 18. Make no mistake, UMass is going to cough it up more than a few times tonight, but I'm confident that the change in venue and situation (UMass playing for its NCAA Tournament life) is going to make this more of a competitive matchup. And another thing to consider is VCU isn't the same team away from home. The Rams played nine games against A-10 opponents on the road/neutral and had exactly one win by more than seven points – against the worst team in the league, Duquesne.

VCU vs. St. Joe's - Win by 3
VCU at Temple - Loss by 8
VCU at Xavier - Win by 4
VCU at Saint Louis - Loss by 4
VCU at Charlotte - Win by 7
VCU at Rhode Island - Win by 6
VCU at Richmond - Loss by 12 (OT)
VCU at Duquesne - Win by 27
VCU at St. Bonaventure - Win by 7

Outside of that blowout loss to VCU, UMass's losses in conference play came by margins of 8, 3, 1, 1, 5, and 9. Enough points to make a play on the underdog.
