Lakers at Spurs Under 190.5

One would think this total would be substantially higher considering that San Antonio who has been unbeatable in front of their fans (29-2) is averaging 106 points per game at HOME in this special campaign. In addition the Spurs a few nights ago in a high-profile ESPN televised home game against Miami lit up the scoreboard in a 125-95 rout when the team set a franchise-record by hitting 17 different three-point shots from long range. Not only is today’s posted total low (opened at 192 points) it has actually been dropping which is reflective of what San Antonio has done defensively in this series holding the Lakers to fewer than 90 points in each of the last 3 meetings. My research indicates that long term San Antonio is 22-9 UNDER after putting up at least 120 point offensively in the prior outing. In the past two years the Lakers are a resounding 13-4 UNDER the spot when cast as a “short” road underdog of 3-or-less points. The Lakers are also 16-4 UNDER/ROAD the past three campaigns when revenging a same-season loss against an opponent. But what makes this such a tremendous percentage wager is a “24-5” SYSTEM (82% past five years) which plays teams like San Antonio after going above the posted total by at least 18 points in the previous game UNDER the spot, when up against an opponent who has stayed below the total by more than a dozen points in 3 consecutive outings
