The Missouri Valley Conference has already received an abundance of national attention during the regular campaign due to the outstanding overall records compiled by both Wichita State and Northern Iowa. While Wichita State is still alive in the NCAA Tournament Northern Iowa also qualified for the Big Dance with the help of dominant big man Seth Tuttle. But on a much smaller scale there is still a Missouri Valley Conference member that is still alive and kicking from the College Insider tourmanent and Evansiville is on the road tonight in a quarterfinal game from that postseason event which puts the focus on mid-majors. It was just last night in a quarterfinal game from the College Insider Tournament that a five-and-a-half point road underdog (Tennessee-Martin) pulled off the OURIGHT upset and that may happen again on this Thursday since D.J. Balentine of Evansville actually tied with Tuttle for the SCORING lead from the Missouri Valley draw. From a pure investment standpoint when facing a “winning” team this season the Purple Aces (8-2 ATS) have been outstanding. But the big news is dating all the way back to the 1997 season when off three consecutive tilts where they led by 5+ points at the HALF in game-four of that streak Evansville (15-3 ATS) has been near automatic
