Info Plays

3* on Boston Celtics -6

Reasons why the Celtics cover:

1.) System Play. We'll Play Against - Home underdogs of 3.5 to 9.5 points (NEW YORK) - poor defensive team - allowing 99+ points/game on the season against opponent after allowing 105 points or more 2 straight games. This is a 50-19 ATS System hitting 72.5% since 1996. This system is 8-3 this season.

2.) The Celtics are 12-1 SU & 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 meetings with New York. The Knicks just don't match up very well with Boston at all, especially considering they are playing several players who wouldn't be getting the minutes they are right now if New York was in the playoff hunt. This is an absolute mismatch, and the final score will indicate it. Bet the Celtics.

SPORTS WAGERS

Toronto +6½ +2.25 over CLEVELAND

The Raps caught a huge break tonight in that the Cav’s have clinched everything and will play only to stay fit and tune-up for the playoffs. Expect at least three starters to not even play and expect LeBron and a couple of others to get plenty of rest time. Besides, the Cav’s would probably prefer to play the Raps in the first round as oppose to the Bulls and the outcome here could go a long way in determining which team they’ll play. The Bulls are tougher, they’re more physical, they play way better defense while the Raps are a soft team that can get blown away early. That’s not to say that the Cav’s will pull a no show here but damn, they really are playing for absolutely nothing and there’s no reason to play hard and risk injury. The Raps will play their hearts out and while they have a ton of bad habits, they also are a dangerous team with a bunch of great shooters. So, not only should the Raps cover they really have a great chance to win outright. Play: Toronto +6½ (Risking 1.1 units to win 1) Play Toronto +2.25 (Risking 1 unit).

NEW YORK +8 over Boston

How the Celtics hung a 117 on the Cav’s on Sunday is anyone’s guess but don’t be fooled by that sudden offensive explosion. The C’s have been laboring all year and the Knicks have played them very tough in all three matchups this season. In fact, the game they played at MSG went into OT and in the other two in Boston, the Celtics won by four and 12 points respectively. The last four times these two have played in New York, the Knicks won twice and were well within this range in the other two and those Celtic teams were better than this year’s edition. Again, the Celtics are coming off that big win over the Cav’s in a game they blew a 22-point in but managed to hang on. Every time we believe the Celtics are about to step it up they step it down and there’s no reason to trust that’ll change here. Play: New York +8 (Risking 2.1 units to win 2).
