Joel Tyson

Georgia (+5) at GEORGIA TECH

Free play for Tuesday is to back the Georgia Bulldogs plus the points as they take on their in-state rival Georgia Tech in Atlanta this evening.

Better Georgia Tech teams have struggled against previously bad Georgia editions, as the Bulldogs have won 2 of the last 3 series meetings straight up, and 6 of the last 10 overall.

The tables are turned this season, as I feel the Bulldogs are the team to watch, while the Yellow Jackets will continue to keep coach Paul Hewitt on the proverbial "hot seat"

Tech has not played since getting crushed by 20 at Northwestern last week, and they are looking to snap a 2 game slide.

If the Yellow Jackets are lucky enough to win this game straight up, I highly doubt they will be able to cover the impost.

Take the points.

4♦ GEORGIA

VEGAS EXPERTS

Northern Iowa at Iowa

Iowa is not a good team. The Hawkeyes come into this game at 4-4 straight up with outright losses to the likes of South Dakota State and Long Beach State. They are just 4-15 ATS their last 19 non-conference games. In-state rival Northern Iowa is 18-7 ATS as an underdog and 16-6 ATS when favored by, or getting less than, three points.

Play on: Northern Iowa

Jimmy Boyd

1 Unit on Wizards/Lakers UNDER 207.5

The Wizards have really struggled to score on the road this season, averaging just 96.4 ppg away from home. They have had even bigger problems scoring the basketball when up against good competition. In fact, Washington is 14-4 Under in its last 14 games against teams winning between 60 and 70 percent of their games. We have only seen 192.1 total points scored on average in these games with Washington behind held to 93.3. The Lakers are well-rested, so they should have no trouble digging in on the defensive end tonight. Plus, L.A. is 10-1 Under in its last 11 games versus terrible teams that are being outscored by 6 or more points per game. We have only seen 194.5 total points scored on average in these games with the Lakers holding opponents to 91.2 points in this spot. The Under is 8-1 in the Lakers' last 9 overall and 5-0 in their last 5 games as a home favorite of 11.0 or more points. Bet the Under.

Tony George

Phoenix Suns vs. Portland Trail Blazers
Play: Phoenix Suns +2.5

Two teams going different directions. Blazers also with out Service of guard Miller, on a suspension. Blazers scoring 89 ppg their last 5 and the Suns lead the NBA on offense and have blown up the past 5 games with a 117 ppg average. They also have won 3 straight and are playing good Hoops right now and getting into total sync. I do not see Portland in a scorefest here running and gunning and trading punches all night with the Suns, as I see the Suns pulling away in the fourth quarter for the outright win.

Memphis U vs. Kansas
Play: Kansas -12

5* graded play on Kansas taking on Memphis set to start at 7:00 PM ET. This game is part of the Jimmy V Classic taking place at Madison Square Garden in New York City. My proprietary sports handicapping model and simulator shows a high probability that Kansas will win this game by more than eight points. Supporting this graded play is a system that has produced a record of 37-11 ATS for 77.1% winners since 2005. Play against dogs of 10 or more points in non-conference games and after a cover as a double digit favorite. Memphis is off a 16 point win over Western Kentucky December 4 and covered as 13 point favorites. No. 14 Memphis steps up big in competition facing No. 4 Kanas, who has not shot worse than 50.9% from the field. They are rebounding well and have not had more than 15 turnovers in any game this season. Kansas is ranked 3rd nationally scoring 89.9 points per game, first in assists with 21.1 assist per game, and first in field goal percentage at an amazing 56.9%. They rank 88th in rebounding, but that is more of a reflection of how well they are shooting from the field than poor fundamental rebounding skills. Memphis is certainly a sound team, but nowhere close to the talent level and execution skills possessed by Kansas. Memphis ranks ninth nationally in scoring at 85.3 points per game, but ranks 55th in field goal percentage at 47.1%. They are an average rebounding team getting 38.3 boards per game ranking 88th nationally and solid with passing ranking 17th in assists getting 17.3 per game. The rebounding differential between these two teams will be the dominant reason Kansas will win this in a blowout fashion. Memphis is 3-14 ATS (-12.4 Units) after a win by 10 points or more over the last 2 seasons. Take Kansas.

Craig Trapp

Phoenix Suns vs. Portland Trail Blazers
Play: Phoenix Suns +2.5

Portland just look lost right now losing 6 of last 7 games straight up. On top of that Miller is suspended tonight for Portland. Phoenix on the other hand is on a 3 game win streak since getting Nash back healthy. Phoenix is a handful for any team and tonight they will run and gun to a straight up win.

Anaheim Ducks vs. Edmonton Oilers
Play: Edmonton Oilers

Two teams battling to improve their positions in the NHL's Western Conference basement meet tonight in Edmonton.

The Ducks, who are 4-7-2 on the road this season, play the YOUNG HOT Oilers team who are 4-6-1 at home but won their last game to start their homestand in OT vs. St. Louis. Anaheim has lost 2 straight games, and Edmonton comes into this one riding a nice 4 straight game streak. Looking back further and we see Edmonton is also 5-1 SU in its last 6 games.

Edmonton's improved play of late coincides with the improved play of the brightest of their young stars, Taylor Hall. An early NHL Rookie of the year candidate.

The Oilers will start Nikolai Khabibulin in goal on Tuesday. Hiller will get the call for Anaheim. Big names will be out for both teams tonight, as Hemsky will be out for the Oilers, and Selanne will miss this one for the Ducks.

Nice matchup tonight in Edmonton and we like the Oilers on the moneyline at a great price.

Jack Jones

Denver Nuggets -1.5

The Denver Nuggets are going to be highly motivated to keep their winning streak going. The Nuggets have won 7 straight games and tonight they have a chance to accomplish a milestone for their head coach. George Karl owns 999 career wins and a victory over the Charlotte Bobcats would give him 1,000. Carmelo Anthony has averaged 32.2 PPG in his last six road games at Charlotte. "When you sit back and think about having 1,000 wins, that's a lot of damn wins, man," Anthony said. "You sit back and think about how many seasons and how many wins you have to have in each season, that's a lot. We want to get it done for him."

Denver is 4-1 SU & 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings with the Bobcats. Charlotte is just 7-13 this season, in part due to few playmakers on offense. The Bobcats are scoring 94.9 PPG and will have a hard time keeping up with a Denver team that is 13-6 on the season, scoring 106.2 PPG. The Bobcats are 2-7-2 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog of 0.5-4.5. Charlotte is 3-13-1 ATS in their last 17 vs. NBA Northwest division opponents. Denver is 32-16 ATS after playing 2 consecutive home games over the last 3 seasons. Take the Nuggets Tuesday.

Sam Martin

Cleveland Cavaliers at Philadelphia 76ers
Prediction: Philadelphia 76ers

Cleveland has been in a downward spiral since getting whipped by former teammate LeBron James and the Miami Heat, and they come into this game losers of four straight. More importantly, they've been blown out in all four of those losses, with defeat margins of 19, 39, 34, and 10 points. Philly is playing pretty well recently, winning three of their last four games and covering the spread in five straight. Both streaks continue tonight!

JR O'Donnell

Warriors/Mavericks Under 205.5

Under it goes tonight boys @ the American Airlines Center as Jr O is standing tall here in the NBA & playing the Under 205.5 big time in Dallas as the 16-4 Mavs will play the D!! The last outing by these Mavs was a poor one on the D end and tonight they tighten up. They match up well with these poor 8-12 Warriors. Stephen Curry & Ellis will not get the open looks they had last game vs the Thunder. The Mavs are an Under machine @ home ... Under checks in @ 12-1 in Mavericks last 13 games as a home favorite of 5 -11 points..

Stan Lisowski

Philadelphia 76ers

Philly has double revenge against a Cav club that is 10-20 ATS off of a loss. The 76ers have won 4 consecutive home games by 18, 9, 16, and 11 points. Cleveland is on the road playing their 3rd game in 4 nights.
