ARIZONA @ MINNESOTA | 03/12 | 8:00 PM EST
MINNESOTA -160
ANALYSIS: The hottest goaltender in the NHL right now is Wild rookie Kaapo Kahkonen, who has won eight straight starts. The league rookie record for longest win streak by a netminder is 12 straight by Ross Brooks for Boston during the 1973-74 season. Kahkonen won in Arizona 5-1 last Friday and has a 1.62 GAA during this run. The Yotes remain without No. 1 goalie Darcy Kuemper and are playing a fifth game in seven days. They are 8-20 in their past 28 on the road dating to last season and 1-4 in the past five in this series.

ST. LOUIS +100
ANALYSIS: Vegas has a goaltending problem on its hands as early Vezina candidate Marc-Andre Fleury has been placed in the NHL's protocols for COVID-19, so he's not playing here. Co-No. 1 Robin Lehner hasn't played in the NHL since Feb. 7 due to an upper-body injury. Maybe he's called up from the AHL for this one, but more likely it's either Oscar Dansk or rookie Logan Thompson. Thus, I like the Blues' chances at home -- plus Vegas is without top defenseman Alex Pietrangelo. He spent his previous 12 seasons with St. Louis and was a long-time captain of the Blues. Vegas is 1-4 in its past five in St. Louis.

ANALYSIS: The Mustangs are more talented but haven't played in 32 days. Cincinnati beat them by seven on Jan. 7 at SMU. The Bearcats got a boost as guard David DeJulius, who had opted out on Feb. 25, opted back in and will be available for this AAC Tournament game. He had 12 assists in the first meeting and ranks second on the team in scoring (10.0). Take the points in a game that should go to the wire.

OVER 215
ANALYSIS: Orlando’s defense did not look particularly better Thursday than how it entered the break, but cold Miami 3-point and free-throw shooting masked that. San Antonio lost to Dallas on Wednesday, 115-104. The Spurs are 12-0-1 OU (15.69 ppg) at home with less than two days rest coming off a road loss. San Antonio had six players reach double-figure scoring. The Spurs are 13-0-1 OU (9.29 ppg) after a game as a road dog in which they had at least six double-digit scorers.

MARYLAND @ MICHIGAN | 03/12 | 11:30 AM EST
MICHIGAN -8.5
ANALYSIS: Michigan had its way with Maryland on Jan. 19, winning 87-63, which is the kind of score I’m expecting today. Maryland had lost two straight to close out the regular season (at Northwestern, Penn State) but beat Michigan State yesterday to start the Big Ten Tournament. But Michigan State losing away from Lansing isn’t a big deal. It has been happening all season. The Wolverines cruise to another cover.

CLEVELAND @ NEW ORLEANS | 03/12 | 8:00 PM EST
CLEVELAND +7
ANALYSIS: The Pelicans are coming off of an embarrassing 30-point loss to the shorthanded Timberwolves at home Thursday. They have lost three straight games at home and are just 8-12 ATS there this season, including an ugly 2-10 ATS as home favorites. Larry Nance Jr. (finger) is expected to make his return for the Cavaliers, which should provide a significant boost to their frontcourt. While I think the Pelicans can rebound with a win, the Cavaliers can still keep this contest relatively close.

UAB @ W. KENTUCKY | 03/12 | 12:00 PM EST
UAB +2
ANALYSIS: I thought this line was going to be WKU -4.5 instead it’s WKU -1.5. On Thursday night, WKU played later and won but its star player and potential first-round draft pick Charles Bassey injured his back and did not return. Look for UAB to take advantage of a tough situational spot for the Hilltoppers.

UCF @ MEMPHIS | 03/12 | 10:00 PM EST
MEMPHIS -7
ANALYSIS: The Knights have won five straight, but those came against three of the worst teams in the AAC. Now they face a Memphis team that's covered 10 of 11 and knows it must win this tournament to reach the Big Dance. The Tigers won the regular-season meetings with UCF by 27 and 14 points. Those were at home, while this is a neutral site. Still, look for the Tigers' elite defense to carry the day.

NORTH TEXAS @ LOUISIANA TECH | 03/12 | 3:00 PM EST
LOUISIANA TECH -1
ANALYSIS: Louisiana Tech closed out the regular season strong, winning and covering its last five games and winning nine of 10. The only loss during that span was in overtime at North Texas, 57-55, one day after beating North Texas, 68-63. Tech covered both games. The Bulldogs also went 17-9 ATS on the season. Tech gets the win and cover today at a cheap price.

Tennessee -4.5 over Florida
Florida is a great basketball team. This current team is awesome behind the three point line, but I think this game comes down to defense. Tennessee is excellent on the defensive side of the ball and when they get locked in it’s almost impossible to score a lot on them. In the last meeting Tennessee spotted Florida and huge lead and still dug in on defense and put them away in the second half. The Vols have the physical defenders to get in the way of an electric player like Tre Mann. Look for the Vols to plays scrappy basketball which will force turnovers that lead to points. Tired legs after game after game in these conference tournaments typically favor the more athletic defensive team. Take Tennessee.
9:00 PM EST
UC Santa Barbara -10 over UC Davis
I believe UC Davis has hit their peak and are not close to being good enough to beat the UCSB team. The Aggies are a pretty good offensive team and they do force turnovers, but everything else they do is below average. UCSB doesn’t turn the ball over which really is bad news for the Aggies because if they can’t get points off the turnover they won’t have a shot in this game. The Gauchos share the ball well and are excellent on offense and on defense. This team has the size advantage and over the course of 40 minutes should run away with this game and win by double digits. Take UC Santa Barbara

MICHIGAN -8.5
ANALYSIS: This is a bad matchup for the feisty Terps, as evidenced by their two losses to Michigan this season. Those came by 11 and 24 points. The Wolverines won't have senior guard Eli Brooks, which is a big loss, but they're also fresher and eager to bounce back after Sunday's loss to Michigan State. After each of their first two losses this season, the Wolverines responded with dominant performances. Look for that to happen a third time today.
OHIO @ TOLEDO | 03/12 | 5:00 PM EST
OHIO +2.5
ANALYSIS: Bobcats leading scorer Jason Preston didn't play in Ohio's 17-point loss at Toledo two months ago. They're 10-5 with him in the lineup, including a two-point loss to Illinois in which Preston had 31 points, eight assists and six rebounds. In 26 minutes yesterday, Preston had 19 points, four rebounds and four assists in an 85-63 drubbing of Kent State. Look for Ohio to improve to 7-2 in its last nine games as an underdog.

RUTGERS @ ILLINOIS | 03/12 | 6:30 PM EST
ILLINOIS -7.5
ANALYSIS: Illinois has won and covered its last four games with authority, the last three on the road, the last two at Michigan and Ohio State. The Illini have a cocky arrogance that fuels them and have already publicly laid claim to the Big Ten Tournament title. Now they have to back it up, and Rutgers, which lost 11 days ago at lowly Nebraska by 21, shouldn’t get in their way. Illinois wins big and covers.

MARYLAND @ MICHIGAN | 03/12 | 11:30 AM EST
MICHIGAN -8.5
ANALYSIS: Big Ten Tournament from Indianapolis. I was going to go contrarian to Larry Hartstein and Micah Roberts on this one and take the Turtles -- but only if the Wolverines' heart and soul, Eli Brooks, was out with an ankle injury suffered last Sunday. Brooks is not their best player but has been called their most "valuable" with his all-around game and stellar defensive play. Now that it looks like he is playing, I'll fall in line behind U-M.
UAB @ W. KENTUCKY | 03/12 | 12:00 PM EST
UAB +2.5
ANALYSIS: Conference USA semifinal from Fort Worth. A few models, including SportsLine's, believe that UAB should be a slight favorite here -- and that's not even taking into account the status of Western Kentucky star Charles Bassey, who aggravated a previous back injury in the Hilltoppers' 80-67 win over UTSA on Thursday. Bassey had 21 points and nine rebounds before checking out. If he does play in such a quick turnaround, it's likely much less than 100 percent and if he doesn't play, UAB should win easily. The Blazers have covered four straight as underdogs.

MEMPHIS -7
ANALYSIS: Central Florida has won five straight (favored in all) and covered six straight, but the Knights are still well below the class of Memphis, which is playing its most complete brand of basketball this season. The Tigers closed out the regular season with six straight wins until losing 67-64 at Houston in the finale. Memphis is 10-1 ATS in its last 11 games, which includes back-to-back blowouts against UCF to start February. Memphis to win by double-digits.

CINCINNATI @ SMU | 03/12 | 3:00 PM EST
CINCINNATI +6
ANALYSIS: SMU hasn't played since Feb. 8 because of a COVID outbreak on the team, and it's known that the Mustangs will be down some players here -- we just don't know which ones and may not until tipoff. Cincinnati got great news this week when David DeJulius opted back in. DeJulius had two points, 12 assists and nine rebounds in a 76-69 win over SMU on Jan. 7. Both teams are going to look at lot different here (UC has since lost another player or two), we just don't know how different for SMU. I'll take the chance it's a key guy or two, plus the major rust factor.
HOUSTON @ UTAH | 03/12 | 10:00 PM EST
HOUSTON +17
ANALYSIS: The Rockets are absolutely terrible, on a 14-game losing streak, playing the second of a back-to-back and may be putting a G-League roster out there Friday other than perhaps John Wall (who is no sure thing to play). Still, out of principle I will always take these many points in an NBA game. The guys are still pros. Plus, the Jazz will get up by 20 or so early in the third and throw in the scrubs. For what it's worth, the Jazz have failed to cover their past five as at least 17-point favorites, but they haven't been one since 2009.

DENVER @ MEMPHIS | 03/12 | 8:00 PM EST
MEMPHIS +3
ANALYSIS: The Grizzlies have a game in hand as they played and looked impressive on Wednesday. The Nuggets haven't played since winning at Indiana on March 4. Denver is 0-2 ATS when playing with three or more days of rest this season. Memphis is as close to full strength as it has been all season. The Grizzlies are 24-11 ATS against the Northwest division over the past three seasons. Take the home underdog in this one.

OLE MISS @ LSU | 03/12 | 9:30 PM EST
LSU -1
ANALYSIS: SEC Tournament game in Nashville. It's always a bit dangerous betting on LSU as it can look great one game and awful the next. The Tigers did look good in their final two regular-season games and are well-rested here, while Ole Miss had to play Thursday and handled South Carolina. The Rebels' 17-point win was their largest margin of victory in an SEC Tournament game since an 80-60 win over LSU in 2007. However, Ole Miss lost this season at home to LSU by 14 on Jan. 9. This will be much closer than that, but we like the Tigers. KenPom ranks them No. 29 and the Rebs 47.
