WAKE FOREST @ NOTRE DAME | 03/09 | 7:00 PM EST
NOTRE DAME -8
ANALYSIS: Wake Forest has lost seven straight, failing to cover its last six despite getting generous points. Notre Dame comes in with momentum after stunning Florida State 83-73 on Saturday. The Fighting Irish had a bad season, but they have talent in Prentis Hubb (14.7 ppg, 6.0 apg) and Nate Laszewski (13.8 ppg, 7.6 rpg). And they believe they can make a run in the ACC Tournament. On Feb. 2, Notre Dame handled the visiting Demon Deacons by 21 points. Notre Dame is a team that beat Duke and FSU, lost by one at UNC and by two at Georgia Tech. Lay it.

N.Y. RANGERS @ PITTSBURGH | 03/09 | 6:00 PM EST
PITTSBURGH -150
ANALYSIS: I backed the Pens at home vs. the Rangers on Sunday and Pittsburgh paid off in a 5-1 win. Nothing would cause me to change my mind in the rematch on Tuesday as New York remains without No. 1 offensive weapon Artemi Panarin and top netminder Igor Shesterkin. There's an outside chance the latter plays here but more likely the Blueshirts will be turning to third-stringer Keith Kincaid -- in which case this moneyline would surely rise. There's a reason that Kinkaid has essentially been a backup his entire career. New York has lost five straight when playing for the fourth time in six days.

CAL POLY @ CSFULLERTON | 03/09 | 9:00 PM EST
CSFULLERTON -5.5
ANALYSIS: My model says the Titans cover in 60 percent of the simulations, so you're getting strong value at this number. Cal State Fullerton is coming off back-to-back losses against San Diego, but each game was close as it fell by four and seven points. Conversely, Cal Poly is in the midst of a nine-game losing streak, with its last two defeats being by 14 and 16 points. The Mustangs are likely to keep Tuesday's contest closer, but not close enough.
BUFFALO @ PHILADELPHIA | 03/09 | 7:00 PM EST
PHILADELPHIA -235
ANALYSIS: My model says the Flyers win in over 70 percent of the simulations, so you're getting excellent value with them here. Philadelphia is coming off back-to-back defeats but hasn't lost three in a row yet this season. Meanwhile, the Sabres have dropped seven straight, including three consecutive 5-2 setbacks against the New York Islanders. Buffalo also suffered a pair of 3-0 losses to the Flyers during its slide and fell to Philadelphia by the same score in a meeting earlier this campaign. Look for the Sabres' skid to continue on Tuesday.

OAKLAND @ CLEV. ST. | 03/09 | 7:00 PM EST
CLEV. ST. -2.5
ANALYSIS: Horizon League Tournament title game from Indianapolis. Oakland is 12-17 overall after a minor upset over Northern Kentucky on Monday as the Norse couldn't shoot to save their lives, hitting only 33.3 percent from the field. Then again, it should have been a 20-point win by Oakland if not for going a laughable 10-for-26 from the free-throw line. That's not going to cut it against No. 2 seed Cleveland State, which actually shared the regular-season Horizon title with Weber State but lost the tiebreaker. The Vikings took care of Milwaukee on Monday but didn't play particularly well. Cleveland State was 2-0 this season vs. Oakland and those were both true road games.

MCNEESE ST. @ SE LOUISIANA | 03/09 | 6:00 PM EST
MCNEESE ST. -1.5
ANALYSIS: These teams split in the regular season, each winning by four on the other's court. Both teams are bad defensively, with McNeese State a little worse. But the Cowboys have a distinct advantage in shooting. McNeese State shoots 46.4 percent, which ranks 52nd nationally, while Southeastern Louisiana ranks 325th at 39.6 percent. McNeese won three of six down the stretch while SE Louisiana dropped six of seven. Lay the small number.

NEW JERSEY @ WASHINGTON | 03/09 | 7:00 PM EST
WASHINGTON -195
ANALYSIS: New Jersey, playing its third game in four nights, will go with backup Scott Wedgewood in net, and he's worth a bet against even though on Sunday he blanked Boston in his first game since Jan. 30. Plus, former No. 1 overall pick Nico Hischier remains in the NHL's concussion protocol. The Caps are 3-0 vs. the Devils this season. If Alex Ovechkin has a hat trick in this one, he would tie the legendary Phil Esposito for sixth on the NHL's all-time goals list.
BUFFALO @ PHILADELPHIA | 03/09 | 7:00 PM EST
PHILADELPHIA -215
ANALYSIS: Not the best value on Philly at this price, but Buffalo will be without top forward Jack Eichel due to injury and apparently will be starting third-stringer Jonas Johansson in net (Linus Ullmark is out injured). Johansson is 0-3-0 this season with an ugly 3.93 GAA. Buffalo has lost seven in a row, five by multiple goals.

IONA -6
ANALYSIS: Iona will be stepping onto the court for the first time in 17 days. The Gaels seek revenge for a loss at Quinnipiac on Feb. 17. With the stakes high, look for coach Rick Pitino to have Iona ready. Look for the Gaels to play crisp basketball and move on in the MAAC Conference tournament.

MT ST MARY'S @ BRYANT | 03/09 | 7:00 PM EST
MT ST MARY'S +6.5
ANALYSIS: Mount St. Mary's plays the nation's second-slowest pace and is the better defensive team. The Mountaineers have won three straight, most recently taking down NEC top seed Wagner on Saturday. Bryant comes in off an 85-55 shellacking of Sacred Heart, but the Mountaineers aren't going to let the Bulldogs get out and run. Bryant is 10-0 at home and expected to punch its ticket to the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs have won five in a row, but three of those victories came by seven or fewer points. With all the pressure on the home team, I'll take the road dog to keep it close.

HOUSTON BAP. @ INCARNATE WORD | 03/09 | 9:00 PM EST
UNDER 144
ANALYSIS: Incarnate Word's pace is the key to my total of 137. The Cardinals play at a very slow pace. They are a horrible offensive team, averaging 94 points per 100 possessions. Houston Baptist likes to play up tempo. Only two of the Huskies' last 12 games were under 70 possessions. Both of them were against the Cardinals, and both of those games went under.
WAKE FOREST @ NOTRE DAME | 03/09 | 7:00 PM EST
NOTRE DAME -8
ANALYSIS: Notre Dame really showed up in its last game vs. Florida State. That win came after the Fighting Irish lost four straight and were booed off the court. Previous to that skid, Notre Dame had covered six of seven. Wake Forest has really struggled down the stretch under first year head coach Steve Forbes, losing seven in a row straight up and six consecutive games ATS.
