100% Perfect Revenge Play!

Indiana Pacers @ Atlanta Hawks
PICK: Indiana Pacers

It may be Friday the 13th but that won’t stop us from stepping out on the Pacers in a big way tonight. For openers, Indiana has been the league’s best performer when looking to avenge a same season defeat this campaign, going 17-6-1 ATS, including 14-3-1 ATS if the loss was by 5 or more points. In addition, Indy has been like money-in-the-bank in same season revenge in this series going 17-8 SU and ATS, including 5-0 SU and ATS as a dog. With the Hawks caught smack in the middle of a live Jazz/Trailblazers same season revenge sandwich we’ll snap the rubber band with the Pacers tonight.

We recommend a 5-unit play on the Pacers.

25 Dime Tulsa
15 Dime Auburn
15 Dime Bowling Green
5 Dime Wisconsin
5 Dime Mississippi State
5 Dime Temple
5 Dime Oklahoma State

5 Dime Wisconsin - Great spot for the Badgers here against an Ohio State team that won't be able to match the Badgers intensity. First and foremost, coaching advantage to Bo Ryan. Secondly, better defensive teams win close matchups and most certainly that falls to Wisconsin. In the first meeting, the Badgers held Ohio State to 2 of 9 from 3, outrebounded Ohio State by 11 and won by 5. Wisky comes in winning 6 of their last 8 SU with the two losses being on the road at Michigan State and Minnesota. This will be a grind them out halfcourt game and that favors the better defensive team. Lastly, facing a team with a winning SU record and you find Ohio State at 1-5 ATS their last 6. Truth be told, if they are supposed to lose, they do. All Wisky today.

5 Dime Mississippi State - I love two in the SEC today and Mississippi State is one of those. More about Auburn this afternoon. This Bulldogs squad is rolling strong winning 3 in a row SU and ATS. However, you dig deeper and you will see that since their 75-70 win at home over South Carolina, their only losses were to Alabama, Tennessee and Auburn, arguably 3 very hot teams in the SEC. What I really look for in this game is much better than 9 of 26 from behind the arc. South Carolina is undisciplined and I just love what Auburn has shown me down the stretch. This is a Bulldogs team that is 4-1 ATS last 5 as a dog and 10-4 ATS their last 14 facing a team with a winning record. You throw in the fact that the Gamecocks are 2-5-1 ATS their last 8 overall and I am rolling with Mississippit State to advance here.

Free pick - Boston College

KNOCKOUT PUNCH OF THE DAY - NORTH CAROLINA -11

KNOCKOUT PUNCH OF THE DAY

I am putting an end to this KPOD losing streak today with the Tar Heels. The line opened at 13 and has quickly dropped to 11 as a result of Lawson's uncertainty. However, what the public fails to recognize is Lawson's status was always questionable and already factored into the opening line. I also believe the public is over-valuing Tech's win yesterday over Miami. Despite that blowout win their showing was less than impressive. Carolina failed to cover the 9.5 point spread on the road just 9 days ago and now opens as a 13 point fave on a neutral floor and with Lawson doubtful?? I don't think so!! Va. Tech was far more desperate for a win in that game and couldn't get it done in front of their home crowd so what makes anyone think they are going to get it done today on a neutral floor?? Bottom line, I will take a very well rested, deep, talented, athletic, and veteran Carolina team any day over a Tech team playing on no rest. Additionally, with all of the upsets yesterday you have to believe this Carolina team, along with a few others, will be extra focused today so not to fall victim to the same embarrassment!! My prediction: NORTH CAROLINA 92 VA TECH 67
