Too bad that "premium plays" = paid plays.

Just to let you guys in on a secret... I make
most of my plays from what I find in the free
picks section = "service plays"

Take a look at my free picks daily. One of the
guys is on a winning run of over 75%. Those
Maddux picks posted above make me want to
cry knowing that someone is paying for them. :'(

Someone told me that the Maddux free pick
has a better track record than the paid picks.
That person spoke from the experience of having
a subscription to the paid picks. 😮

I do want to thank Blade, however, for his
efforts on this forum and I thank the people
who are paying for the picks posted here but
I just wanted to get the message across that
premium does not always equate to "best" .

Ben Burns
Play Title **EARLY** Burns' AFTERNOON ANNIHILATOR! (12-6 L18)

I'm playing on CHICAGO. The Dodgers have gotten off to a great start to the season and they've been on quite a roll recently. However, I expect their winning streak to come to a halt this afternoon, at least temporarily. Even with a win in yesterday's opener and their far superior overall record, the Dodgers' road record (16-10) is roughly equal to Chicago's 14-9 mark here at Wrigley. Looking back at the last few seasons and we find that the Cubs' home record (113-75) is far better than LA's 93-99 mark on the road. While the Dodgers have struggled in road games with a line in this range, the Cubs have gone a profitable 24-12 when playing a home game with a line in the +100 to -125 range. Both starters are off a sub-par outing but both are more than capable. Billingsley has been terrific on the road, going 2-0 with a 1.63 ERA and 1.048 WHIP. However, Lilly has been even better than that at home. In fact, in four starts here, he's gone 3-1 with a 1.29 ERA and 0.75 WHIP. While Billingsley has a solid 26 K's and 13 walks on the road, Lilly has an awesome 27 K's to just two walks, here at home. Note that Lilly has a 2.57 ERA during the afternoon, while Billingsley has a 3.00 ERA in his daytime starts. Lilly, 2-0 in three starts vs. the Dodgers, made one start against them here at Wrigley. That resulted in an 8-2 victory back in 2007. Lilly went 6 2/3 innings. The Cubs have had a more recent look at Billingsley, as they saw him three times last season. They won two of those three games, including both in the regular season. This game is arguably bigger for the Cubs. The Dodgers are rolling and already have a comfortable lead on top of the NL West. The Cubs, on the other hand, are in fourth in the NL Central and are in danger of falling below 500. Throw in the fact that they're still look for some payback from last season's playoff sweep and this becomes a very important contest. Lilly, who is off back to back road losses, hasn't lost three in a row since back in 2006. I expect him to bounce back, continuing his excellent pitching here at Wrigley and leading the Cubs to a much-needed victory. *Annihilator
