CLE 3.0 (-110) vs ATL

Analysis: Play On: Cleveland Cavaliers

Note: Cavs take on the Hawks in Atlanta off last night's 15-point loss at Houston with revenge from their last meeting this season. With value in this game with Cleveland unrested, look for the Cavs to improve to 7-1 ATS on this court here tonight.

Karl Garrett

Right about now would normally be the time the G-Man would go against a team playing on the road for the 6th straight time, and the 3rd time in the last 4 days, BUT we are talking about the Spurs, and we are talking about the Spurs playing against the pathetic Knicks.

New York has lost 7 straight, and they have failed their first 2 of this 3 game homestand. Look for the Knicks to complete the hat-trick, as the G-Man expects the Spurs to continue their recent uptick.

San Antonio has won and covered their last 3 on this monster road trip, and they have also bested the Knickerbockers the last 5 times these teams have played, and 8 of the last 9 meetings straight up.

The favorite in this series is on a 7-2 tear. Couple that with the Knicks 3-7 spread mark their last 10 at home, and we are looking at a San Antonio rout.
Lay the road wood with the Spurs as they take another on this extended road swing.

2* SAN ANTONIO

1 Unit on Cornell -12

5-12 Princeton does not stand a chance against 12-5 Cornell. Princeton is 0-9 on the road this season. The Tigers average just 50.2 ppg on the road this season. Cornell averages 81.4 ppg at home and is 13-3 ATS versus horrible offensive teams scoring <=57 points/game since 1997. Princeton is 0-9 ATS on Friday nights over the last 2 seasons and 1-11 ATS after 2 consecutive conference games over the last 2 seasons. Cornell is 6-1 at home. It has won 6 straight games coming into this one and 3 in a row ATS. Cornell has won 6 of its last 7 lines games ATS. Cornell returns 3 key starters from a team which swept Princeton last season and won at home by 20. Lay the points tonight.

Priceless Picks

1 Unit on Iona -14

The Gaels will give Canisius a good old fashioned beating tonight. Canisius is 0-11 on the road this season, losing by 22.2ppg on average. It is just 1-7 ATS in road lined games and 3-8 ATS in conference play. Iona returns home with great momentum off back-to-back road wins SU and ATS. Iona has now covered the spread in 5 of its last 7 games. Iona is 10-4 ATS in all games versus Canisius since 1997. The Golden Griffins are 1-10 ATS in their last 11 road games and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a road underdog of 13.0 or greater. The Gaels are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite. Take Iona!

Cajun Sports

Game: (#731) San Francisco vs (#732) Saint Mary's CA

Line: Saint Mary's CA -19.5

Selection: 2* St Marys-CA

Analysis:

These two just met on Jan 26th at San Fran and St Marys came away with a 79 to 57 win as a 10 point road favorite. No reason to think this one will be any different, Cisco struggles against teams who are shooting >=45% with a defense of <=42% over the last 3 seasons with a 4-15 against the spread record in this role. They are also 6-20 ATS versus teams who are outscoring their opponents by 12+ points per game since 1997. Mary defeated Cisco by 22 points in a game with a much slower pace and we expect Mary to play at a much higher level and quicker pace here tonight. Lay the double-digits with the host here as they get the win and cover.

Sports Gambling Hotline

Tough spot for the Cavaliers, as they were on court last night in Houston battling, while Atlanta was home idle.

This will be Cleveland's third game in the last four nights, and their second in a row on the road. The Cavs are just 4-6 this season against the spread when playing with no rest, and we will fade them tonight at the Philips Arena.

The Hawks are looking to close this home stand out with a 4-0 mark, as they have already recorded wins over New Jersey, Philadelphia, and the Lakers, going 2-0-1 against the spread in the process. For the season at home, the Hawks are a positive 14-10-1 against the spread, and they have already won and covered their first home meeting against the Cavs back on January 9th, 90-81 as the 2 1/2-point fave.

No reason Atlanta can't duplicate that effort, especially with the Cavaliers having been extended the last few nights.

Play on the Hawks.

1* ATLANTA

JIM FEIST

Take UTAH Jazz

Utah is the hottest team in the NBA, winning 10 in a row. And talk about depth! The last game Paul Millsap and Mehmet Okur fouled out in regulation, and they still beat Denver ? on the road! 16-2 SU, 13-5 ATS the last 18 games. Sacramento likes to run under new coach Reggie Theus, but the Jazz prefer that style, too, averaging 105 ppg ? 5th best in the NBA. The Kings are just 2-5 ATS the last 7 games.

Play the Jazz!

BIG AL's NBA "THREE DOG NIGHT"

At 7:35 pm, our selection is on the New York Knicks plus the points over San Antone, as Isaiah Thomas' men fall into a 92-56 ATS system that plays on home dogs off a pointspread loss which are matched up against non-division foes off three straight ATS wins. New York has dropped back-to-back games ATS, while the Spurs are on a 3-game SU/ATS run. Earlier this year, New York hung tough with the World Champs, and lost by just four in the Alamo City. Look for another close game at Madison Square Garden tonight. Take the points.

At 10:05 pm, our selection is on Sacramento, as the Kings fall into the same 92-56 ATS system as does the Knicks. Sacto comes into tonight's game off a loss to Seattle, while Utah has won 10 straight games (and four straight ATS), so the Kings fall into our 92-56 system. Also, the Kings have won 19 of 27 home games SU vs. Utah, and are also 18-9 ATS in that span. Take the points.

At 8:35 pm, our selection is on the Memphis Grizzlies plus the points over Dallas, as rested, double-digit road dogs, are a solid 143-86 ATS in the regular season since 1991 when playing with same-season double revenge, if they lost their most recent meeting against their current foe by 10 or more points. Earlier this year, Memphis dropped a 108-105 game at Dallas, and also lost its 2nd meeting vs. Dallas, 103-84. Memphis has been competitive in two of its last three losses, losing by just four points to Denver, and by five to Milwaukee. In that game, Mike Miller scored a season-high 32 points and Darko Milicic recorded his third straight double-double. I look for the Grizzlies to be competitive once again, and to cover this large number tonight. Take the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie
