Michigan State to beat Pittsburgh was a Top Level play for me. I felt the Panthers were getting overrated thanks to excessive endorsements from the TV talking heads picking them to win the whole tournament. Plus, the Spartans had a nice matchup edge in the backcourt. That doesn't exist here, and now it's Michigan State that seems to be getting the big hype. They're a good team, and Izzo is a great tournament coach. But Memphis is the considerably stronger team in my estimation and I see them being too quick for their Big 10 opponent. The Tigers can't shoot free throws, and that's a late game concern, but I'm banking on this one being out of reach by that time. My matchup number has Memphis winning by ten points, so the Tigers are an excellent value in this spot.

4 Unit Play.Take Philadelphia -8 over Tampa Bay
This game continues to drop in the line since Philly will be without their No. 1 quarterback, but the Soul made a key pick-up in the off-season getting Matt D’Orazio in the off-season from Chicago. The Soul have yet to have a close game this season and will move to 5-0.
4 Unit Play.Take Grand Rapids -2 ½ over Los Angeles
The home team gets in a match-up of teams that combined to go 1-4, as the Avengers have had trouble scoring all season long. They are currently 13th in the league averaging less than 49 points a game. Grand Rapids is scoring in the sixties and that alone gives them an advantage especially when playing @ Van Andel Arena. QB James McPherson leads the AFL in passing efficiency and expect him to have his way picking apart the Avengers. This will be a high scoring game and Los Angeles will not be able to keep up, as the Rampage even up their record @ 2-2 on the season.
4 Unit Play.Take Over 96 in Dallas @ New York
Any totals that falls under triple digits we take a serious look at and this one gets the nod as a strong play considering how good the Desperado offense has been. The Dragons still have Aaron Garcia under center and he needs just two touchdowns to pass Andy Kelly for third most in AFL history. He is upgraded to probably and will likely see action Sunday giving the Dragons that extra scoring boast. We will not worry if Dallas can cover this inflated number on the road and just collect with the over.

Los Angeles Clippers (21-50) at Utah Jazz (47-25)
The hot Utah Jazz have won 21 of its last 22 games at EnergySolutions Arena and have dominated the struggling Los Angeles Clippers at home. Utah has won nine straight and 35 of the last 36 meetings against the Clippers at Utah. The home team in this series is 9-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings. Utah should have no problems beating Los Angeles. The line is a bit huge at 15½, but the Clippers have been horrible away from home, dropping their last seven and just 9-26 this season. Tough assignment facing a team with the league-best home record, 31-4.
