Due to the fact that we have 2 (3*) plays tonight, I am going to keep the analysis short and straight to the point because I am sure that all of us have been watching these games and have seen these teams enough now that you don't need me wasting your time explaining to you how Curry needs to score or how well Wisky plays defense...instead lets get to the Bottom Line...
And in this game, that bottom line is the fact that LVSC sent this game out at -2....thats correct, LVSC's Handicappers had made this line much lower than what the books decided to offer...now we all know that their job is to try and protect the books and with that said, it appears that even though they very well knew that Wisconsin would be getting the dough from the public, they still felt that by sending out a line of "-2", the books would be protected....well its also obvious that the books decided that they would make it even worse on the player by bumping this one up to -4.5 which was the Opening Number...
And we all have seen nothing but support for the Favorite, via Straight Bets, Parlays, teasers, and ML wagers...and now all that action has allowed us to buy the hook and take this all the way up to +6, which is just so huge in basketball...
Now all the Sharps I spoke with all agreed with me in saying that this number is definately too high and that not only did Davidson offer a lot of Value, but this is definately a winnable game for them as they are a very mature team who is solid on both sides of the ball and as I said above, I will not waste your time with a bunch of stats and numbers, except for the most important one of them all...
That is...lets go ahead and grab the points in this one and look for Davidson to go in looking for the Win and a trip to the Elite 8, and possibly shock the viewers with a SU win this evening...or at the very least...keep it within the Number.
3* BEST BET of the DAY
Guys since we had 2 (3*) Wagers we will be forced to keep this short based on time...but what I wanted to get across is the fact that the number is based on the public perception that this is a home game for Texas...and although I will agree that being able to play in your home state is a huge advantage....the bottom line is that Stanford has had all week to prepare for this which will definately make a difference....
Because other than that, there is no way that Texas would be as highly favored and the ratings that were used by LVSC at the start of this Tournament would have made Stanford actually a 1pt Fav, or at the very least a Pick'em...and after doing all the work for this game, I couldn't agree more because even though the seeding indicates that it would be an upset....we just don't view it as such and I confirmed those numbers with other sharps whose lines I trust and they also came up with the same numbers we did...so lets go ahead and grab the 3 Points since Bodog is being so generous, but I do not believe we will be needing them this evening.
