Syracuse Orangemen at Oklahoma Sooners
Play: Syracuse +1 -110

The most interesting thing about this play is that the Sooners have the advantage in every statistical department. Stats don't win games though and should only be used as a tool to look further into what is actually going on. If it were that easy, we would all be living in Large Houses, on Huge Estates, eating Bon Bons, and have a Pool Girl. Please note that the The Wife would not like The Pool Girl, but she perhaps would get over it. So what is going on? The Orangemen are playing the best basketball of the year and they are playing as well as anyone in this land of ours. The advantage they do have tonight is better bench strength and that is a large key tonight. What is going to happen when these two teams take the court tonight is obvious. We are going to see some BIG ACTION. We are going to see fast paced, crazy action. Both teams like to push the ball, both teams play aggressive defense. In fact, these squads represent the #7 and #8 D efficiency squads in the NCAA and weary legs are going to be a factor in the second half. In addition, Syracuse has simply beaten better teams more often. Memphis, UConn, Marquette, Kansas and West Virginia to name just a few and certainly every Big East Contest has been a challenge this year. Are they "More Tested?" Yep. Are they focused? Yep. Have they been doing more things right over their last 10 played? Yep. Do they have the psychological edge tonight? Yep. This team has covered their last 9 of 10 with only a close cover loss to Louisville while OK has lost to the better squads they have played during the same stretch, Mizzu, Texas, Kansas, and OK State. They have done that in a lessor conference. No Rocket Science Stuff needed here. I will save that for another play. Let's not even talk about the coaching advantage and experience factor for this one. That is a No-Brainer. In all of Oklahoma's losses this year, they had serious Turnover Problems. That is not what you want or need in a game like we have tonight. I think that is what we will see tonight though as these Orange Guys are going to put pressure on the ball.

Jeff Alexander

1 Unit on Oklahoma City +6.5

Toronto doesn't deserve to be laying this many points to anyone right now. The Raptors have won back-to-back games SU and ATS and that sets them up for disaster tonight as they are 0-8 ATS after successfully covering the spread in 2 or more consecutive games this season, losing by an average score of 94.6 to 105.0. Toronto is also 1-10 ATS after 2 or more consecutive wins this season, losing in these spots by an average score of 93.5 to 102.6. We'll grab the points here.

Rocketman

Arizona vs Louisville
Play:Louisville -9

Arizona has surprised many making it this far in the tournament as many experts, including myself, didn't think they should have even been in the tournament in the first place. It all comes to an end tonight. The 12th seeded Wildcats will meet Top seeded Louisville Cardinals in the Sweet 16. Arizona is 21-13 this year while Louisville is 30-5 on the season. Let's take a look at the all important road records of these two teams. Arizona is only 7-10 SU on the road this year while Louisville is 14-3 SU on the road this season. That is a very important stat in handicapping a neutral court game is how well they play away from home. Louisville defense has been good as they have only allowed 61.7 points per game overall this year and 62.2 points per game on the road this season. Pitino's club should blow this team away tonight. We'll recommend a small play on Louisville tonight!

Wunderdog

Los Angeles Clippers at San Antonio
Pick: San Antonio -11

The LA Clippers have been dreadful on the road. They aren't just losing games, they are getting manhandled. Their last 19 road games have seen them lose by 12 or more in 15 of the 19, or 79% of the time! The Spurs own 14 double-digit home wins of their own, and after a win, the Clippers are 17-35 ATS and just 1-6 ATS as a dog of 11 points or more in their last seven. San Antonio wins and covers here.

EZWINNERS'S FREE SELECTION

Date: Friday, March 27, 2009

Game: Kansas Jayhawks vs. Michigan State Spartans

Sport: NCAA Basketball

Time: 8:35PM CST

(874) Michigan State Spartans (-1.5)

Kansas has been a two man show with Sherron Collins and Cole Aldrich so far in the tournament. The rest of the Jayhawks team has been very inconsistent and nobody other than Collins and Aldrich have reached double figures in their first two tournament wins. MSU will provide a much tougher test than North Dakota State or Dayton. The Spartans have the players win the rebounding battle and to get Aldrich into foul trouble. The Spartans also have the defenders, led by Big Ten defensive player of the year Travis Walton, to force Collins into taking bad shots that he is prone to do. Michigan State defeated Kansas earlier in the year and I expect them to do so again. Lay the points.
