Five Magic players scored at least 18 points, paced by Dwight Howard (21 points, 14 rebounds) and Rashard Lewis (21 points). Rafer Alston added 20 points, and Mickael Pietrus and Hedo Turkoglu chipped in 18 apiece, with Turkoglu also contributing seven assists.

Tips and Trends

Los Angeles Lakers at Orlando Magic

Lakers: The bad news for the Lakers is no championship series sweep. The good news is the Lakers are 7-0 ATS the last seven times following a straight-up defeat. Los Angeles is 23-8-2 (74 percent) ATS in their last 33 games as a road ‘dog. The Lakers nearly upset the Magic in Game 3 losing by four points despite Orlando making a finals record 63 percent from the floor in its 108-104 victory. The scary thing for Los Angeles is Kobe Bryant finally appeared to get fatigued. He scored 31 points, but missed seven of 10 shots from the field in the fourth quarter and also missed four free throws. The Lakers made just 16-of-26 (61 percent) free throws. Bryant made only 11-of-25 shots and missed half of his 10 free throws for the game. Bryant has been playing non-stop for nearly three years because of his commitment to USA Basketball

The Under has cashed in 10 of the Lakers’ past 13 games.

Key Injuries - None

PROJECTED SCORE: 99

Magic (-2.5, O/U 201): After shooting a dismal 29.9 percent in Game 1 from the field and 41.8 percent in Game 2, Orlando sank a finals record 63 percent on Tuesday with all five of its starters and sixth man Mickael Pietrus making at least half of their shots. Dwight Howard finally was able to solve the Lakers’ double-teams that had bothered him during the first two games, scoring 21 points and dishing off effectively to wing men Rashard Lewis (21 points) and Hedo Turkoglu (18 points) whenever multiple Lakers would flash at him. Point guard Rafer Alston also came up big making eight-of-12 shots from the floor, scoring 20 points. He might have put an end to any controversy about giving extended minutes to former Magic starting point guard Jameer Nelson. The Magic now will try to extend the Lakers’ road losing streak in Championship Series games to eight in a row.

The Under is 27-12 in Orlando’s last 39 games as a home favorite.
The road team is 7-2 ATS during the past nine meeting.

Key Injuries - None

PROJECTED SCORE: 102 (Side of the Day)

NBA Finals

If you take away Orlando's 3-point shots in Game 3, they shot 70% on the night from the floor, an amazing number, and also got to line thirty times (23-30). That said, they only won by four on night when Bryant was just 11-25 from floor, 5-10 from line. Lakers shot 51% from floor, their best figure of series, but Odom was just 4-6 from floor, after he had scored almost at will in games at Staples Center. Tuesday was Orlando's first-ever Finals win (1-6). So far in series, Orlando's shooting has gone up from 29.9% to 41.8% to 62.5%- had Lee made the layup at end of Game 2, this might be different-looking series right now.
