NBA Heat vs. Warriors Picks & Predictions for Wednesday, January 16, 2013
By ATSSportsline.com

OAKLAND, CA (ATS Consultants) – The Heat have struggled on their latest road trip, dropping three of their last four games. Can they turn it around tonight when they visit the Warriors at 10:30PM ET?

Last game: (12/12/12). Golden State (+8.5) over MIAMI, 97-95. The Heat (24-12 SU, 17-19 ATS, 17-19 O/U) are in their fifth game of a six-game road trip. They've won just one game and are coming off a 104-97 loss at Utah on Monday, giving 2.5. Golden State (23-13 SU, 20-15-1 ATS, 22-13-1 O/U) is coming off a 110-105 road loss to Denver on Sunday, getting 6.5. The Heat travel to the Oracle Arena in Oakland to take on Golden State on Wednesday at 10:30pmET.

ODDS: Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Miami Heat as a 2.5-point favorite at most books, while the total is 203.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Miami Heat opened as a 2-point favorite and moved to 2.5 at most books. The total started at 204 and moved to 203 in most books.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the current wagers placed on tonight’s game, 69% of NBA public bettors currently favor the Heat. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided to get the most updated public betting numbers.

NBA FREE PICK: Take Golden State. According to latest NBA trends, Miami is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss, 3-8 ATS in their last 11 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game, 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games playing on 1 days rest, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Wednesday games, 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games overall and are 1-6 ATS last 7 road games. Golden State is 4-1 ATS last 5 meetings, Dog is 6-1-1 ATS last 8 in series, 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. Eastern Conference, 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games following a S.U. loss, 8-2 ATS in their last 10 Wednesday games and is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.

The Miami Heat have had issues on this West Coast swing. They've won just one of four and for whatever reason, stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh were benched at the end of the Utah loss on Monday. Maybe it was Bosh's one rebound in 27 minutes that did it for Eric Spoelstra. Golden State beat the Heat in Miami on Dec. 12, getting a layup from rookie Draymond Green with 0.9 seconds left to secure a 97-95 win. Miami is last in the NBA in rebounding and has seen its offense lose focus of late as well. Golden State received 27 points from Klay Thompson and 22 points and 13 rebounds from Lee in the win at Miami while Steph Curry was held to nine points. The Warriors don't fear the Heat as they've taken back-to-back games including a 111-106 overtime win at home on Jan. 10, 2012. They are also 12-5 at home, while Miami is 8-9 on the road. Expect the Heat's troubles on the road to continue on Wednesday night.

2013 NBA FREE PICK: GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS +2.5
