VMI/Coastal Carolina
A lot has been made about VMI's defense over it's past 6 games..winning 5 of those...allowing 70 ppg versus the 85 during conference play...what hasn't been emphasized is the drop in scoring... 75 versus season average of 88...Coastal Carolina has defense and offense handling VMI in both season contests...99-86.....109-87...Like Coastal to continue their domination with a DD win

Coastal Carolina -7

Detroit/Valpo....
Detroit is the Horizons top scoring 5 mainly due to the late season surge scoring 80 plus 4 of last 8....topping 90 twice and 76 in 6..averaging 77.5 which includes a meager 51 at Butler... Defense hasn't been their strong suit only Y'Town St allows more...Considering Valpo's ability to score this should/could easily top the 144 posted at the Greek

Interesting MVC match up...Creighton/NIU...
Unlike past years NIU lacks the ability to stop the opposition allowing 49% or better from the field in their last 7 games...50% in 4 of those... Knowing the under trend in the MVC Tourney I'll still keep a close watch on the falling number as well as the spread...

Thanks Pix....

Early game UNCW/Ge. State
Wilmington's fortunes rise and fall with Tomko..his 4 for 20+ from the field (worst outing of the season) was still good enough to take State to OT before losing by 5.... Taking into consideration the visiting Seahawks shot a dismal 30%...along with a 4-23 performance beyond the arc with 20 TO's..this one could start our day on a winning note...Keeping an eye on this one also as I look for better...

No one in the Southern is playing better than Ap. State..winning 7 of last 8..with their only loss coming at the hands of a good W. Carolina 5..the box score shows Ap State out shot WCU 54% to 43%..out playing WCU in all aspects with the exception of 20 unlikely turn overs (13 season average) during this streak they handled both Chattanooga and Charleston easily...Not likely to lay 10.5 but a second half may be there...

Saturday

Notre Dame/UCONN

Hot Irish 5 scoring a season 76+ PPG over past 5, but a bit different story when traveling..esp when facing BE teams allowing 67 or less...topping todays number (139) 3 times..ALL at HOME....failing to reach this number in 7 other contests... A lot to do with their different style of play when traveling along with the 31% from 3 versus their season average of near 40....
Huskies number 4 in conference defending the 3, #3 FG defense overall while allowing a mere 61 ppg at home...

Will take the u139 but will shop for a bit better as more outs become available

Allowing 66 PPG doesn't qualify Illinois as a conference stopper...considering the Hoosiers have topped todays number (138) 5 of 7 road games..failing only at Purdue and Wisky I'll side with the over...

Tuesday

DePaul gives up points in bunches...allowing 76+ in 6 of last 7... Demons are far from an offensive juggernaut but UCONN has allowed near 70 over the past 8...No Melvin should mean a more wide open affair....(DePaul over 7 of last 10).... Bookmaker has a 137 posted begging for some over....I'll honor their request...

Prov/Marq
Neither team a road dynamo..combining to win 5 BE road games...However Marquette has been competitive.. Not so with the Friars, esp early on...failing to hold a half time lead versus any .500 opponent

Lville ...35-45
Marq.....27-40
Conn.....30-33 (best outing)
G'Town..34-46
Hall.......33-39
W. Va....20-46
Cuse.....32-42

The two teams they did hold a half lead (USF...Rutgers) are a combined 8-28..and by the way the Friars ended up losing both...

Should catch around 4 or so..waiting on outs....

Wednesday
SJSU/Hawaii
Both under valued throughout the season..hence 9-4 and 8-2 ATS vs teams with winning records...Unlike years past, a nice road record for Henry's Bows..7-4 ATS...in particular their win at SJSU on 3.3.11 when SJSU hit 8 of 13 (61%) beyond the arc and still fell short 77-71...Thompson ? but this is a deep Bows squad with 9 players getting 16+ minutes...

I'll lay the small price

Hawaii -1
